COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

This ale is unfiltered and dark with a creamy head. Upon sipping you are greeted with some early carbonation, especially some fizziness on to roof of the mouth. The aroma effuses a brewery with all its sweet hoppy glory. The taste is chock full of spices and orange peel. Belgian yeasts almost hint at a tripel style beer. The finish is dry and tangy. The high alcohol content is surprisingly well disguised. In summary, Delirium Nocturnum is a delightful after dinner ale and it couples well with some chocolate!

Draught at Delirium Cafe. Lots of toffee, plum, raisin cake, marmalade with a tropical edge, touch of spice, gentle sweet finish. This is pretty good stuff, quite flavorful and fruit-forward, maybe a tad too sweet and heavy for me.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a hazy brown colour with a huge smooth off-white head. Aroma and taste is of dark fruits, caramel, herbs/spices, hints of yeast and alcohol. Light bitterness and alcohol to finish. Nice but not as good as the tremens.

330 mL bottle. Murky brown pour. Tall, dense, semi creamy, tan head that sticks around forever, not much lacing though. Aroma of dark fruit, some yeasty esters. Moderately sweet taste, more dark fruit, some heavy bread / caramel malt, some warming alcohol. Medium to heavy body with above average carbonation.

Marrom escura, opaca. Espuma bege abundante e persistente. Aroma de ameixas e caramelo, levemente alcoólico. Sabor adocicado ligeiramente alcoólico, com notas de ameixa, caramelo, alcaçuz, um leve torrado e um pouco de adstringência. Retrogosto adocicado e alcoólico.

A 330ml bottle with a best before end date of April 2016 poured into a Chimay goblet glass. It poured a cloudy dark brown colour with a one finger tanned head that dissipated fairly quickly to a nice thin fluffy layer leaving some nice lacing. Aromas are strong dark fruits of raisin, plum, prunes, grape, dates and a hint of caramel. Taste is much like the aroma, there is strong sweet plum, raisin and prunes at the start; sweet candied sugar and caramel midway, before a light bitter finish with the alcohol coming through. Medium bodied and high carbonation. Overall, this was nice and fruity but could be even better if the alcohol was hidden more.

Butelka 330ml z datą ważności do 05/18, temperatura degustacji 14 stopni +, szkło snifter delirium. Aromat: z butelki guma balonowa, po przelaniu do szkła wyczuwalne estry na niskim poziomie (przeważają ciemne dojrzałe owoce) , fenole praktycznie nie wyczuwalne, wszystko dopełnia dobrze wyczuwalny alkohol przypominający cherry, w niskiej temperaturze wyczuwalne żelazo (próba skóry potwierdza) po ogrzaniu praktycznie zanikło. Barwa: ciemny bursztyn, klarowne.
