(tap) poured a rich ruby red with two fingers of creamy head. left minimal lacing as it retreated. nose is light and floral, perhaps a slight spice. first taste has significant hop bitterness, sour apple, very little sweetness. quite earthy. mouthfeel is smooth with light carbonation. alcohol is only present as a slight lingering at the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very fruity aroma, some yeast as well, dough. Alcohol is present in both taste and aroma. Taste is dominated by the fruits, but there’s a spicy sensation there to balance it out. Colour is a beautiful clear brown, head is off-white. (Bottle)

Pour is a nice shade of mahogany, with a small whiteish tan head with good retention. Nose is of dark fruits and spices, smells like winter. Taste is something similar to gingerbread, though not quite, dominated by other characters which make it sweeter.

33cl bottle, labeled "Delirium Christmas", trappist glass. Pours a clear red, with a short-lived beige head. Smells of sweet winter spices. Medium bodied, above-average carbonation, long fruity boozy finish. Tastes of cherries, malt and spice. A very pleasant warming beer.

Bottle from ølbutikken, called delirium christmas on the .label, and the elephant is on a sled in the snow. 10%. Clear amber, smooth beige to brown head. aroma of sweet dried dark fruits, spices, malts. not as sweet as I had expected, in fact quite dry. Flavor is dried fruts, alc., malts, not very sweet, and not very spicy. alc. is quite easily tasteable, will not get cloying, but might come off as too boozy. Flavor almost resembles barley wine a little, but not a good one.

Fin bryg.
