Had it on tab where else but at the Delirium Cafe in Brussels. Dark reddish brown color with a light tan head. Rich fruity aroma. Taste of some spicy dry fruits and some sweetness. A very enjoyable beer for X-mas times.
Re-review on 01.01.2010.
Pours a clear dark red brown with an off whote head. Aroma of roasted malts, brown sugars and dry fruits. Flavors of roasted malts, caramel sugars, a hint of cinnamon, cherries and yeasts, and some spices.
Medium carbonation, sweet and slightly bitter dry, with a little liquor finish.

Poured nice, cleansed the palate and went very well with a slice of Applewood Smoked Gruyere cheese. Great beer to enjoy on a cold winter night. sdriessen (208), Dunedin, New Zealand

Intense raisin and prune nose with a chocolate malt base. brown sugar, resiny hops. Earthy notes - wood and a bready yeast. Some alcohol in the aromas, along with cinnamon make this one quite like a fruitcake.
The flavours are quite spicy. I find maple syrup, raisins, lots of toffee and caramel.
Apple and cherry fruits, with raisin, prune and bready yeast. Candy sugar sweetness.
Spice and alcohol penetrate every part of the nose, very nice.
Quite medium bodied and the finish is mellow, long-lasting and relatively dry. dm9831 (1168), Monee, Illinois, USA
