3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy dark amber with high carbonation. Head retention is very good. Slightly off bitter flavour behind the somewhat weak, relatively less fruity, Belgian yeast flavours.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bottle. Pours a deep rusty brown with a large foamy tan head. Tart aroma of yeast and spices. Nice tingly mouth feel with a dried fruit, semi-sweet toffee, and some spice taste. Fairly smooth with lingering flavors. Gets even better as it warms up. Hides the alcohol well. Very enjoyable - not bad but not great.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rating #1928. I’ve decided to turn my ratings into a series of history lessons. Bottle poured, a couple weeks after the big holiday. Pours a dark ruby color with endless foam head. Back in 1928, it was when beer companies first began experimenting with canning. Beer didn’t start showing up in cans until years later, but the initial trials of canning began this year. I’ll write more about it in the proper year rating. Pabst was the biggest name in beer for the US that year. As for this beer, super high carb, malty, full of spices, and a bit metallic for my taste. Flavor isn’t all that bad, but definitely a sipper for me. This was alright.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a copper from a bottle, aroma of plum brandy, flavor of dark candi sugar and plum, rather effervescent. Very well-balanced, not overly boozy, but a good hit of alcohol in there. Very good beer.

Extrem unausgewogen und nicht gut. Schmeckt nach Müllsack. Tausend Geschmäcker und Aromen, aber nichts konkretes. Schwach.

Unclear and light brown colour. A lot of oxidation when pouring. Smells sweet and bitter. Complex taste, layered. End with a nice sweetness!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Mr Goodbar in Buffalo, NY. Minimal head, bright red pour. Figured I’d give this a shot for Christmas. Smooth, doesn’t have a boozy feel, nice. Really well-made beer, nice Belgian. Good beer, as expected.
