Shag (2229) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - DEC 17, 2011
A murky brown appearance with a beige head. Aroma contains some nutmeg, caramel, toffee, spices, and cherries. The flavor contains some nutmeg, mint, toffee, some bitter nuts, cherries, and toffee. The palate is on the thin side but that’s ok. This beer is very nice and hides the alcohol well. I can’t believe I’ve not rated this before!

Pours a dark amber with tan head. Aroma of cinnamon. Taste of sweet dark cherries quickly followed by a cranberry type bitterness. The carbonation is high similar to a sparkling wine.

Poured a mostly clear, copper color. Giant frothy head. Aroma of raisin, spices, candy sugars. Medium sweetness, light bitter, slight sourness. Creamy palate. Alcohol warming. Finishes dry. Pretty good.

Pours a beautiful brandy colour, with small tanned head. aroma is sweet, with cherries and raisins. taste, like the aroma, is smooth, very sweet, with dark fruits. good palate, low carbonation, and good for christmas (but very sweet).

Chudwick (356) - Taylor Mill (KY), FRANCE - DEC 14, 2011
bottle in a snifter - pours hazy brown with quickly disappearing beige head. Oddly enough, slight agitation of beer, brings the head right back. Nose is alcohol, candy, and yeast. Aroma is caramel malts and perhaps coffee. Taste is quite sweet and about three minutes later, the bitterness kicks in. Pulpy body that is full with lots of fizz. This bottle has the most sediment of any beer I’ve ever seen. I really want to like this beer, but the grittiness and unmasked alcohol are too much.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2011 Bottle. Also named Delirium Christmas. Dark goolden clear. Strange spicy raisin aromas. Caramel cereal aromas as well. Moderate sweet finish. Very malty x-mas. Dosen’t feel that strong. The brew gets better and better in the glas. Happy Christmas....

pours clear mahogany, small off white head.faint retention. Nose is sweet, ripe fruits, cinnamon, Christmas spices,. Esters, cinnamon, nuttiness. Fairly sweet for sure. Mild on the palate, almost flat. Could be more balanced.
