Bottle. Copper/amber colored beer with a big off-white head. Yeasty, malty aroma. Very rich malt and stone fruit flavor with lots of spicey yeast. Easy drinking for 10% and the alcohol is fairly well hidden.

In short: An extra sweet and slightly spicy Belgian dark ale. Cloying but drinkable.
How: Bottle 330ml. Winter 2008/2009 batch. Consumed when about 1 year of age (2 years before expiration date)
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a very small beige head
In long: Nose of some kind of spicy candy/desert. Taste is very sweet with a lot of candy sugar and only a little bit of caramel and molasses. Next to the overwhelming sweetness are raisins, cloves, yeast, hard candies, other spices, a little shot of Jack Daniels. The spiciness is the main attraction here, not intense but an interesting array of spices with no specific spice coming out strong except for cloves. Body is really full and heavy. A little alcohol warmth but feels less than 10%. A bit like their own Delirium Nocturnum with a lot of candy sugar added. I usually really don’t care for beer heavy on candy sugar but this one wasn’t bad. I give it an A. For Average

12oz. Bottle: Spicy, malty aroma. Smells of coriander, yeast, malts, and spices. Poured dark amber/ruby in color with a small tan head that diminished quickly. Medium lacing. Cloudy. Full of tons of particles. Flavor is sweet and spicy. Tastes of cherry, merlot, candy sugar, coke syrup, malts, and lots of spices. Medium to full body. Average texture. Lively carbonation. Long, sweet finish.

Ligh brown w/ thick white head, VERY sweet, malty aroma. Medium mouth, subtle vanilla flavor, little aftertaste. "Quick and done."

2004 Bottle: This beer is a hazy brown color with a foamy thick beige head with decent retention. Nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, apples and malt. Medium-bodied and spicy, with fruit, yeast and hops flavors as well as a light malt balance. The alcohol is not overly noticeable but I was definitely feeling it after this large bottle. The finish is tart and lasting. Very enjoyable overall.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2008 (Bottled) Clear, dark amber color with a smallish, mostly fading head. Strongly caramely-malty, dark-fruity, spicy and sweet aroma with alcohol hints. Sweetish-toffee-malty, spicy, very fruity flavor with plums and raisins. Actually pretty sahti-like. Medium to full body, quite thick and slightly sticky, smooth carbonation. Dangerously drinkable for the ABV, and less sweet than the other Delirium line. Not very complex, but a sweet-n-solid, sahti-like winter warmer nonetheless.

Nutty, sweet candy sugar aroma. Perfumey with tangerine, some yeast and spices. Cleaar amber-brown with thin, tan head that diminishes to ring. Caramel malt flavour with plenty of alcohol apparent. Candy sugar and spices emerge toward the end of the flavour. Mild bitterness takes the edge off the almost cloying sweetness in the finish. Small bubbled carbonation keeps the tongue interested. Strong alcohol warming. Surprisingly light body. Bottle enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Rastacouere and a gang of bierophoux.
