(draught at flying saucer on the lake) pours clear reddish orange with little to no head. Nose of toasted cane sugar and dried fruits. Taste of alcohol, smoke, roasted malts and nuts. A little undercarbonated but a good beer.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Dark amber color with quickly vanishing head. Sweetish, caramelly and fruity aroma with tart fruitiness, grapefruit, figs, sharp alcohol and hints of solvent. Sweetish caramelly, tart and nutty flavor with sharp alcohol.
Too boozy and sharp with overload or caramel.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Suttree (3765) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 16, 2004
Cloudy reddish orange, no head. Nicely yeasty, musty, slightly banana aroma. Unusually "bright" flavors of maybe cinnamon (?), then earthy, woodsy, "basement" flavors. Obviously, I poured this too cold - as it warms, pronounced "spiced apple" flavors emerge, which give it much more of a Christmas feel. Not bad at all.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (3763) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 13, 2006
2003 75cl bottle. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head, eliciting a strong fruity aroma. The flavor, too, is fruity with a caramel malt base and some spicy enhancements. There is an astringent alcohol finish.

Bottled.
Hazy redbrown. Fruity nose with notes of marzipan and solvent, also a clear alcohol appearance. Fruity, chocolatey flavour, quite malty but rounded.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2003 Cloudy dark color, small lasting head. Small yeast particles floating around. Acidic aroma, malty, licorice. Malty taste, strong. Bitter dry palate, alcoholic. Heavily overrated stuff.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is light sweet fruits and the flavour is quite sweet, lightly rich and slightly vinous. Overall quite a nice gentle tasting beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChainGangGuy (3682) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-brown body with a thinnish, wispy, off-white head.
Smell: A chiefly fruity nose, smelling of brandy-soaked dried fruits supported by secondary notes of light brown sugar, caramel, and dull, earthy spices.
Taste: Dark maltiness with flavors of nutty caramel and cocoa. Brief burst of sweetness from a handful of candi sugar. Concentrated fruitiness tasting of stewed plums garnished with golden raisins. Splash of brandy. Hint of gingerbread cookies. Touch of warming alcohol in the dry finish. Very slight lingering of spices in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium, though somewhat lively carbonation.
Drinkability: By no means my favorite, but it’s still a fitting, well-balanced choice for your holiday drinking. I’ll give it that much. It is, after all, the holiday season!
