2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ekstedt (3624) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2008
Draught at Café Delirium, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear reddish brown with a small off-white head. Sweet, alcoholic, and spicy. Not my favourite belgian.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2010
Tap at Sunswick. Surprisingly hoppy! I definitely didn’t anticipate it. Otherwise, a nice copper-red pour with a firm, white head. Some spice and hops in the aroma. Flavor was laced with sweet malts and bitter hops. Slightly sticky, sweet, and bitter finish. Good beer.

Bottle. Dark amber colour with a huge creamy head. Aroma and taste of malts, fruits and spices. Full bodied.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 SledgeJr (3579) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Vintage 2005. In the bomber bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a yellow ocher head. Just a beautiful beer in the Tulip- walls of lace and contrasting colors. Aroma is fruity- D’Anjou pears and bing cherries. The malty sweetness is clear in the taste, but there’s enough tart bitterness to allow it. Slightly medicinal, but whoo boy, the big flavor here is a super strong cherry taste. The finish is at first a little bit smokey, but you can’t really tell after a couple of swallows. The residual alcohol burn lingers in the alimentary canal long after all other senses have subsided.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ClarkVV (3578) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 23, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2005 2003 (I presume) bottle. Awesome ruby-amber red color, big off-white, slight yellow head. Good lacing. Maybe the finest bubbles arising from the bottom that I have seen. Smells like a strawberry twizzler, medium sweet, slightly plasticy, some cherry-yeast aroma, light clove and light, rounded hops??? Well anyways, it tastes amazing. Everyone else says Sweet, sweet and more sweet. Hmmm, it’s sweet, but I usually hate extra sweet beers, but I’m likin this, really much so. Spices, but the good kind, cinnamon, allspice. Good yeast flavors, nice finish and aftertaste includes some hops. It’s like an American-belgian!! I love it but I’m ashamed that I love it!!! Damn I’m so domestic!!!! (ps. I cant find the alcohol in this!!)
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 womencantsail (3572) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - SEP 24, 2010
A: The pour is a dark orange/amber color with a small off-white head.
S: Dark sugar and caramel are the primary aromas with some notes of butterscotch, plums, and raisins. A hint of spice too, just to make it feel "Christmasy".
T: Even more sugar on the tongue with the same contributors: dark candi sugar, caramel, and butterscotch. Some nice spice character along with plenty of fruit notes, including some orange zest, this time.
M: The body is medium with a bit lower level of carbonation than I usually associate with a Delirium (or really any Belgian) beer.
D: I still think Tremens is the best of the bunch, but this is by no means a bad beer.

Sweet, spicy, and delicious. One of the best Christmas beers out there by a great brewery.

2006 bottle. very nice dark amber on the pour with a tiny head that hung out the whole time i drank my glass. smelled of hops and fruit. actually very light on the palate with a strong alcohol taste that didn’t really overpower too much.
