The beer is a light brown reddish murky color, nothing alluring or flattering with a very light tan head. It rises about 1 finger and fades quickly. The lacing is light, but mostly watery so not much there. The aroma is light and earty with only malt showing through. It smells yeasty with dirt, banana and an odd combination of tea and cola. The taste is also light with a big note of banana on the front end and a yeasty dry finish on the back end. The mouthfeel is ok, with lots of lasting flavor. The drinkability is ok, probably couldn’t drink a whole bottle but I’d considering get this again next winter. Overall, a decent effort but there are better Delirium offerings.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Nice dark amber body with frothy head. Nose is malty and roasty. Taste quite sweet of malts, dark berries and alcohol, and bitter in the finish. Texture rich.

Amber-caramel color. Aroma and flavor of caramel, spices and alcohol. Light to medium body, slightly liquorous texture, medium carbonation. Not bad but I expect more than that in a Chrismas beer.

Bright gold color. The aroma has fruit and yeast. Quite sweet, with more yeast, some fruit, and salt. Fairly simple, but very good flavor and aroma. Nice, well carbonated palate as well.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy reddsih brown with a firm tan head. Black cherries, fudge, dates, figs, vanilla, white pepper and alcohol in the aroma. Figs, sweet cherries and toffee in the firm flavour, hints of pepper and apple-skins. Red fruit, pepper and alcohol in the aftertaste. Finally, a beer from Huyghe that I can enjoy.

Hazy dark brown coloured body with crimson highlihgts and a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of yeast, curacao, coriander seed and honey. Medium-bodied; Strong sweetness-curacao and a bit of spice very noticeable up front. Aftertaste clean, but shows a lot of sugars and yeast. Overall, a nice beer but not my favourite tripel. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased by my brother in law earlier in the day from Dean & Deluca in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) on 09-January-2005.

2006 Vintage 750 I’ve had in my cellar for a while shared with my girlfriend Cyn and friends. Pours bubbly copper with a tan 1 finger head. Nose is sweet and light and spied. Taste is sweet a little like apple cider, spicy and highly driinakble.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a super huge foamy and creamy off-white head with perfect retention. Aroma of cinnamon and another spices which results in a weird perfume that doesn’t excite my olfactory sense. Taste is also dominated by that weird perfume that I have a hard time to pinpoint. I also noticed some sweet malt. Body is real creamy with a good lacing. Alcohol is very well hidden. Even though Belgian Christmas beer is not a well-defined style, there are still some things that I expect (high ABV, full body, spice mix…) which I couldn’t find in here.
