Delirium Cafe, Brussels 2004: Tap. Poured a clear amber with a touch of red. Large beige head. Aroma is of caramel, prunes, raisins, and candi sugar. Malty, candi sugar sweetness in the flavor with some orange. Very nice and very warming.

Draft at San Diego Brewing Co. Amber in color with a medium head. Fruity aroma and a sweet/bitter flavor. Slightly alcohol aftertaste, but the 10% was just what I needed.

Alcohol is far too strong on this one. While it’s 10% abv, it’s not masked at all, and the prevailing alcohol really masks the upfront malt. It improves in the aftertaste, where the malts come more forward. Oddly enough, found that it dried my palate after swallowing similar to an American hopmonster APA, though it doesn’t taste like one.

Bomber courtesy of and shared with gputty. Orange/brown pour with a beige head. Fruity esters and yeast in the nose, with some spiciness (cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander). The aroma is rather pungent, almost perfumelike. Slightly over carbonated for my taste. Flavor follows the strong nose, albeit weakly. Slight alcohol burn and a dry finish.

750 ml bottle. Amber/brown color. Big off-white head. Sweet, malty and fruity, hops and a bitter ending with a strange aftertaste.

Dark amber-brown body with a nice beige lacing head. Fruity, exciting spicy aroma of dried fruits (raisins, plum), roasted malts. Thick body, smooth mouthfeel with caramel, sweet candy sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate, fine raisins and plum, some gingerbread taste. Complex for your freaky christmas...
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ABUSEDGOAT (1937) - California, USA - FEB 25, 2006
Tap: amber body. Aroma is SMOKE with notes of caramel and spices. Flavor is the same, tasty. Best pink elephant beer I’ve had. Interesting, balanced and drinkable.
