Stefano (1676) - Esbjerg, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2007
Poured a dark ruby red color with a small white head. Aroma is spicy with a sweet malt. Citrus, malt, caramel and licorice in the flavor. Medium bodied with a hot alcohol finish. Some lingering earthiness on the tongue. Not bad but not great.

Draft at Which Brew. Cloudy red brown body with thin head. Aroma is light fruits, yeast, spices. Spices were present in the flavor and at times dominated the taste. Light yeast and earthy notes noticable too.

Very nice pour, dark brown with sparse off white foam head. The aroma is earthy and strong. The flavor has barley and a little bit a caramel in there, that’s what I detected anyway. Cheerz to Christmas.

Color is a golden orange with sediment floating around. Carbonation is low producing a very thin head. Aroma of toasted caramel with back tones of fruit. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with just a faint crispness. Finish comes in sweet with dried fruit a hint of banana and a touch of citrus. In the after taste a nice yeast flavor comes in followed by a bit of alcohol. Overall its a nice Winter brew with good Belgian yeast fruit flavors.

Bottle. Amber, cloudy body with a fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing. The aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of raisin, peach and apriocot. Hints of caramel and flowers with a slight note of mold. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and alcoholic. Medium body with a smooth texture, though a little watery. Lively carbonation. Just OK.

750ml bottle, 2004. 2 years old. Orange/amber pour with floaties and a white creamy head. Aroma is fruity and slightly sour. First taste reveals the nutty, spicy character. The alcohol is noticeable but hardly dominant. A very nice spiced up Christmas sipper.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a thin off white tiny bubbled head, over a clear coppery, amber (SRM 10-12) body......nose is caramel, molasses, cherry, raisin, dried plum....taste is sharp alcohol to start then raisin, slight cherry, bit of allspice, nutmeg, finishing bitter hop.....mouth feel is light, carbonation lively and champagne like. This is a bit thin on the nose and taste, and the palate is rather light. The alcohol makes for a hot taste.
