Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy brown color with a large fizzy brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma was as complex heavy spicy sweet and yeast. Medium body with a smooth texture. Heavy dark fruit bittersweet flavor with a heavy bittersweet finish with medium alcohol bite. Good brew.

750 ml corked and caged. Dark amber colour, fast fading off-white head. Toast and plums with some spicy notes. Light peachiness and some soft sweet caramel malt. Simple yeast, but has enough spiciness to keep things interesting. Clove, peach, light apple and brown sugar. Flavour is quite sweet, toast and brown sugar, plums, apple, orange and some lingering spice on the finish. Orange peel and pith flavour. Some light herbal hop flavour. Becomes a bit vineous as it warms. Well balanced, lightly peppery on the finish. Pretty nice beer.

Pours a medium copper color with an alcoholic butterscotchy aroma. The flavor was a bit harsh, but improved as it warmed around room temperature. Semi-sweet and moderately smooth, this does not conceal its alcohol as well as it could. It leaves a slight burning in the back of my throat, but did go well with some peanut brittle.

Red copper ale with a thick white head. Aroma of boiled vegetables, sweet corn, very DMS, and alcohol. In mouth, sweet malt, gin alcohol, and light spicey notes. Watery bodied and uninspiring. Enjoyed at YEHa!05 Christmas Party on Dec. 17th, 2005.

Dunkler Antrunk von verschiedenen Kräutern sowie alkoholisch angehauchtem Malz. Süßlich, erstaunlich weich und ausbalanciert. Dann wenig alkoholisch, dunkel fruchtig, Karamell, dunkle süße Schokoladennoten. Süffig und doch sehr aromatisch, vollmundig, gut! 6/12/11/12/12/12

Off-white head, red-amber beer. Alcoholic-sweet nose, strongly perfumed. Some malts, coloured and other under all the alcohol-sweet onslaught. Very alcoholic and spicey taste: coriander, but also something else. Don’t know what, but it resembles sweet woodruff, ending in juniper. Despite the dilution by the alcohol, it’s still well-bodied. Alcoholwarming obvious. It’s quite OK, just nothing truly grand - which is a major victory IMO for this brewery.

Bottled. I think Huyghe get a lot of bad press because they brew a huge range of beers, alot of which are decidely dodgy. However I think when they think about it they can do a good job, and the Delirium range prove that. This is a dark reddy brown coloured beer which pours with alarge off-white head, which shrinks down but leaves good lacing. the aroma is yeasty with moussey fruit and peppery spices. The taste is also yeasty. The 10% comes through to a certain extent. There are peppery hops and red fruits. Well brewed with a long tasty finish.
