Bottle. Copper/amber colored beer with a big off-white head. Yeasty, malty aroma. Very rich malt and stone fruit flavor with lots of spicey yeast. Easy drinking for 10% and the alcohol is fairly well hidden.

Pours with a great creamy head with good retention. Taste is so full and malty, the mouthfeel ends up being more important than the actual taste. Slightly sweet with some esters (plum?), with a roasty bitterness in the finish. Great beer.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2006 Keith-Typical Delirium taste for the most part. Stong aroma, but nothing special. Typical christmas additives like fig, nutmeg, and spice. Tasty and worth a try. Eric-Man, i had a friend bring a bottle from 2001 over the other night-what a treat! pours deep mahogony amber with a very light sudsy white head. much less carbonation than i was expecting. aroma of vineous cherries, light dusty esters, light funk, candy sugar, dark belgian malts0lots of dark fruit here! Wow! flavors of sugar coated cherries, big belgian malts and some nice brown spices. This aged so nicely. not any oxidized flavors, just a more round feel to it all. Alcohol is much lighter than when fresh. Man, this is a treat!

This was a very nice offering from the delirium folks, with nice flavor and color. Seems to fall, in flavor, somewhere between the Tremens and Nocturnum. Well done!

Vintage 2005. In the bomber bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a yellow ocher head. Just a beautiful beer in the Tulip- walls of lace and contrasting colors. Aroma is fruity- D’Anjou pears and bing cherries. The malty sweetness is clear in the taste, but there’s enough tart bitterness to allow it. Slightly medicinal, but whoo boy, the big flavor here is a super strong cherry taste. The finish is at first a little bit smokey, but you can’t really tell after a couple of swallows. The residual alcohol burn lingers in the alimentary canal long after all other senses have subsided.

2005 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden brown color with a thick frosty beige head. Aroma is tangy lemon with yeasty hops, sourdough bread and brown sugar. Taste is acidic citrusy with hints of caramel, brown sugar, lemon, dough bread, sour cherries and even bubble gum. Very nice and slightly different than your typical belgium style.

Yum, this smelled great right from the pour. Big grape and cherry aroma. Thin lacy head that faded quick. Sweet flavor with tons of fruit, can't put my finger on them all, but it was good overall.

Beautiful clear mahogany with a medium off-white head. Aroma of spiciness, yeast, banana, dark fruits and floral hops. Flavor has notes of cherry, plum, raisin, caramel/toastiness, banana, orange peel, lemon/citrus and noble hops. Pleasantly sweet, has ample hop bitterness to balance everything out. Full and round body with very lively, spritzy carbonation. Quite enjoyable.
