Deep chestnut coloured beer with at first a large white head that fades to leave a thin band. Sweet burnt sugar and raisiny/dried fruit aroma with a taste that follows suit and a malty finish

(draft) Dark brownish red with a very dense head that lasted forever. A very nice completion to the Delirium triad. Not as much spice as I was perhaps expecting, but very drinkable. More similar to Delirium Nocturnum than to Tremens.

Enjoyed this one on Christmas Eve 2005. Pours a hazy brownish amber with a small off white nicely lacing head. Aroma of spicy belgian yeast, dark fruits, citrus, apples, cherries and caramel. Flavor of sweet apples, caramel and a few of the other things I was picking up in the aroma. A nice Belgian Strong Ale for sure.

The color is a clear deep copper with just enough cream-colored foam to cover the surface of the beer. The head then recedes to just a ring, which produces moderate lacing. There is a medium maltiness in tha aroma, with some toffee and a definate strong alcohol scent.
The flavor is sweeter than the aroma suggests, with more toffee, dry stone fruit, and raisin. A mild spicy presence rounds out the finish, I’m guessing a combination of spices, hops, and the yeast produce the effect.. The body is medium, with very gentle carbonation. I would have liked more dark malt flavor. Alcohol is prominent in the aftertaste.

2004. Amber/brown. Well formed, off white head. Beware the wrath of chunky. Nose: toasty caramel, rich malt, funky yeast, past ripe fruit, and subtle spice. Same flavors plus a bit of berry and nice hops. Full, balanced body. Excellent.

Cloudy dark orange/amber body with yeast floaties and medium tan lacing head. Aroma of bread, sweet fruit, maybe some cherry?, caramel and brown sugar. Sweet, caramel, brown sugar, yeast flavor. Creay, smooth clingy palate.

Good, sweet and strong x-mas beer. Wonderful aroma with heavy caramel. Lingering and slightly oily palate. Rich taste. Recommended.
