yes, you may see a few elephants afterwards. this magic potion does something a bit different, but it is very kind. this is a nice winter brew that would go well with some christmas pudding by the fire. save some for the dog.

Bright gold color. The aroma has fruit and yeast. Quite sweet, with more yeast, some fruit, and salt. Fairly simple, but very good flavor and aroma. Nice, well carbonated palate as well.

Wow what a good beer!!This would be a great beer on a cold winters night to warm the cockels of your heart!!Not to mention a cool looking bottle! This beer poured a medium sized ivory head with fine-small sized bubbles that very quickly dissipated. The first glass poured a very dense, carbonated body and the second glass poured a clear body. The hue was light brown and the nose was definitely alcohol and fruit...apples?The initial taste was that of alcohol and some apples and spices. It had a smooth and tingly mouthfeel along with a burning sensation as it was swallowed.Aw yes, a Belgian Strong Ale...one of my favorite beer styles and a high ABV to go along with it!

Bottle Vintage 2002
For some reason this beer did not come into Florida last Winter, but I managed to find and then hold onto a bottle of the previous years release.

D-Noel pours a dark mahogany colored body with a thick dollop of light tan head. The aroma and flavor are bursting with robust notes of caramel and toffee, then a deranged orchard of , apricot, plums, dates, apples and pears…. I wonder if anybody has a garden with all 5 of these fruits in them? There is a large presence of sweet, toasty and robust malt, as well as a nice toasted bready-ness that sits aside a thick overflowing scoop of toasty molasses. Also finding a big nutty, lightly smoky, a bit yeasty and a slight spiced-cider like note and dryness in the finish. This is a rather enjoyable and surprisingly complex brew.
I’ve had this years 2004 release, and I feel that the extra time in the cellar really helped facilitate the roundness and complexities in this beer. The time really pulls forth an almost black peppery and leathery flavor, which I enjoy. This Holliday Ale has been far more pleasing than I had anticipated!

Bottle. Pours a dark red mohagany with a very small head that disappates quickly into a small ring. Aromas of cherry, cinnamon, yeast, alcohol, dried oranges, possibly some clove in there. Thickish mouthfeel with a good amount of effervescence. Sugar comes out at the first taste then quickly goes to a sour lemon and finishes with a really nice strawberry and orange. A very fruity beer!
