3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Rusty (1509) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JAN 10, 2009
Bottle courtesy of my wife. She couldn’t resist the bottle with the "cute" pink elephants. Pours into my Delirium goblet with a nice hazy brownish color with a red tinge and a foamy off white head. Aroma is belgian yests, candi sugar, fruits, spices. Flavor is yeast, fruits, candi sugars, spices a little bitterness. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2008 Bottle shared by robert at stateline. Light red/ruby color, ok head. Aroma was some spices, fruity, apple and some malt. Wow...really impressed by the flavor. Super smooth. Lots of fruity spices, cinnamon, gingerbread, dark fruits, sweet candy sugar but all well balanced together. I will have to pick up a couple bottles for myself. Thanks Robert!. Finally picked up a bottle for my self, I pretty much think the same thing.....good beer

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2008 11.2oz bottle from Whip-in at home on June 30, 2008; Sample at December 12, 2008 Beer Club meeting. The opener rips the red foil-covered cap off the faux-ceramic bottle with a light *pfsht*. Thing about colored bottles is you have no idea what’s inside them until you pour. The suspense thickens. Pours a comfortable Belgian color into my snifter, leaving a thick light-brown head that’s very fizzy - so much that it pops itself away in about 15-20 seconds, leaving no lacing and a light but constant supply of bubbles rising to the surface. Looks clear, but thick from a birds-eye view but more solid from the side. Aroma is of spice, yeast, and sweet malts. Flavor... very yeasty and spicy - not too malty, but just enough. A fine balance. What struck me the most is the immediate tingling I felt on the tip of my tongue as the beer first enters the mouth. A warm body, sweet, goes down easy. Can’t even tell this is 10% ABV. My tongue would guess 8% max. Leaves a spicy aftertaste, rising from the throat. Very cool beer. Love the floaties.

Dark amber-brown body with a nice beige lacing head. Fruity, exciting spicy aroma of dried fruits (raisins, plum), roasted malts. Thick body, smooth mouthfeel with caramel, sweet candy sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate, fine raisins and plum, some gingerbread taste. Complex for your freaky christmas...
