Nice dark pour with a little froth, no real head. Taste is classic belgian yeast and malt, a nice xmas cake style spiciness and sweetness, with a warming alcohol finish. Very enjoyable, and the spice is pleasant.

Aromatic winey belgian ale smell in this seasonal brew. It has a clear amber red ale appearance. The big winter boozy malty flavor is delicious in the Belgian traditional flavor.

On tap at the Happy Gnome. Pours a nice amber color. The nose is rather spicy; cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cloves. Wonderful mouth feel with moderate carbonation, With a nice warming finish to holiday spice.

Served from a 750 mL bottle into a Chimay Goblet. Pours a nice copper-brown color with minimal white head. The aroma has a very sweet note to it. The flavor of this brew is malty and sweet that is light on the palate with medium carbonation. There is no lacing evident in this brew. Overall this is an excellent beer! The flavor of it reminds me of their Nocturnum only a little lighter on the flavors. Does Delirium make bad beer? I have yet to find one...

Bottle poured into tulip. Aroma was deeply complex and interesting. Among many scents I could discern noticeable amounts of ginger and nutmeg, yeast, laid back brown sugar, molasses, figs, raisins, other dark fruits, a slight amount of cinnamon and light soy sauce. Probably the most things I’ve ever smelled in one beer. Excellent. Pour produced a dark, somewhat murky beer that looked like spice cake or ginger bread. Extremely thin lacing and light brown head that subsided rather quickly. Taste = wow. Nice depth, and sweetness that didn’t cover up the flavors at all. Hints of mainly brown sugar, some ginger, dark fruits like mentioned above, clove, banana, licorice and more. This beer is great. Solid sipper with a warm and fuzzy alcohol profile. Fantastic.

Draught. Pours pleasant nut brown with a hint of red against bright light with frothy, lasting light tan head. Aroma of raisins and spice. Characterized by malty sweetness with surprisingly delicate spice accents. Long, thick finish that doesn’t try to hide the alcohol. The sweetness gets a little tiring by the end, but all in all a nice winter warmer.

Bottle. Has the floral accents that I enjoy in the Belgian beers. I can also taste a bit of the alcohol, which I also enjoy. I’d buy this beer again.

2005 corked and caged. Semi hazy, particulate suspended burnt orange. Nose is fantastic deep fruity, with no traces of alcohol. Flavors of light smoke, anise, oak, vanilla, and a plethera of other flavors. Truly a great brew.
