Ruddy brownish chestnut colored pour with a sturdy foamed head. Yeasty Belgian maltyness to smell with a souring berry cheweyness and lingering musty funk in between. Berry chocolate flavors with cardboard and a deepened staleness that yields a fruited funk ensemble. Medicinal brandy finishing with a champagne sparkle. Good in close proximity to a fire. A solid brew that packs a potent punch.

Bottle poured into Delirium Noel glass. Dark amber body, lots of fizzy off-white head and nice lacing. Dry yeasty dried fruit aroma. Taste is rich sweet, with a dry finish, dried fruit, maybe some biscuit, a touch of booze. Quite nice.

A tasty ale, but dont get a lot of Christmas in this. Dried fruit and banana aromas and flavours.. Maybe a bit reminiscent of fruit cake. Good stuff.

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is erg krachtig alcohol, licht zoet met sporen van bessen en citrus. Is minder zoet en gekruid dan de standaard kerstbieren. Etiket is inmiddels iets gewijzigd.

Pours copper-brown with a foamy tan head. Nose is very belgian and yeasty with some brown sugar, apple, and just a hint of spice. Flavor is malty on the front with a lot of carbonation, fades to a bit more yeast and earthy notes on the back. Alcohol is well hidden. Well-made but not as good as I had hoped.

From tap. Pours clear golden. The aroma strikes me with apples and cloves. The taste is sweet and spicy. Apple sweetness, and cinnamon and clove spice. The alcohol volume is not that present in the taste, and might strike one unexpectedly. Nice and aromatic in flavour.
