Colour and sight: Deep dark red colour, with a light pink, compact and lacing head. Scent: Soft fruity aroma, with hints of almond and mildly sour cherries. Flavour: Sweet and fruity, with a nice balance between sweet and sour. An excellent dessert beer.

Pours a dark red body with a pink thin head. Strong funky aroma and a nice fresh taste of cherries and fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep red color, pink head. Very sweet. Cherries and berries. Ludens cough drops. Lots of the Belgian goodness is lost. Flavor is ok but the sweetness it a bit much.

Heavy top-fermented kriek since 2010, in a new trend of heavy sweet krieks, popular in especially Wallonia and northern France. Light pink, loose, thin but stable head, colour a darkish bright red. Sweet aroma, cherries, red apple, cider but also an artificial lemonade-like quality, raspberry jam and grenadine, lemon juice, bread, hay, sweet honey. Explicitly sweet taste, apply and sugary, grenadine-like, bit syrupy, on a soft caramel malt base, slight grassy hoppiness in the finish, alcohol well-hidden, bit cloying. Not even that bad in its specific style, a style I will never learn to appreciate to the fullest, Iím afraid.

Ik drink graag fruitbieren af en toe, maar dit was niet echt mijn smaak, een tegenvaller

A dark reddish ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet cloying cherry candy, a bit musky. In mouth, a sweet boozy cherry drink with alcohol warmth, light tartness, ok. Bottle from Bodega de Chema, SJO.

On tap. Cloudy dark ruby pour with small off white head. Aroma of yeast, cherries, slightly nutty. Taste of Belgian yeast, candy floss, sweet and tart cherries. Medium bodied, higher carbonation, long sweet cherry finish. Nice fruit beer.

A very nice aroma from the beer, cherry and elderflower. A good body with a nice head. The taste is extremely sweet, you would think it was more of a juice than an 8% beer. Not unpleasant but not something I would choose as a go to beer.

Draft. Dark ruby with an off white head. Aroma and taste are medicinal cherry. A little overwhelming. Sticky mouthfeel. Not good.

Bottle. Pours dark red with a finger thick mocha head. Aroma is sweet with cherries, elderflowers, roasted caramel malts, kandi and yeast. Full creamy body with average carbonation. Flavour is very sweet with roasted malts, candied cherries, elderflowers, kandi, dark fruits and vanilla, as well as some heavy notes of sweet spiced yeast. Not a bad beer, just not a very good one either. A bit too much of everything, and somewhat over the top on the sweeteners i really.

330ml Bottle:
Sour initially with funk & lots of cherries, very lambic like & definitely Belgian in style. Sweet with plenty of sugar & tart with a candy like aroma at the end.
Cherry colored with 1cm, light pink head that holds well given the abv. Eventually halves in size.
A lot of cherries & tart with a sour taste plus lots of sugar as well, adding to the sweetness. Some light alcohol in the taste but itís not overpowering & the cherries mask it for the most part.
Smooth, light-medium body that is sour initially with some sweetness not far behind. Carbonation is about medium but there is a slight fizz to the beer with touches of dryness right at the end.

Quite a nice beer although both Delirium Tremens or Nocturnam are a lot better. Enjoyable with a sweet taste that is almost like a lambic and some pleasant touches of alcohol as well that are unusual in fruit beers.
