Robe pourpre, limpide. Pas de mousse. Arômes de fruits rouges bien présents. Légèrement biscuit sur la fin. Pas de texture. Assez courte en bouche. Elle serait bonne si elle était moins édulcorée. Une bière de fille parmi d’autres...

Deep red with a pink head. Sweet, cherry, juicy, artificial aroma. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with strong notes of cherrys. Very artificial.

10oz? pour at St. Arnold’s Mussel Bar in Washington DC. Poured a slightly red color with a fluffy light pink head. Aroma was light cherry skins, notable aromas that strike me of regular Delirium as well. Flavor was light cherry funk, perhaps a bit medicinal to some, as it does remind me a bit of Dr. Pepper or cherry diet coke. Alcohol is better masked than most of this brewery’s other offerings.

Like cherry or red candy. Could use a bit more sour, as added sweetness overwhelms the natural sourness of the cherry flavour.

Sweet beer, aromas are strong and head lasted quite well. Overall an excellent cherry beer!

Bottle from JSG Wine Merchants, Hills Road, Cambridge. Consumed at home. Dark red/purple, cloudy. Pleasant aroma, but it’s more of fruit soda than fruit beer. Strawberry and a bit vinous. Taste had a sweetish tartness with a medium to long medium/sour finish. Raspberry vinegar and a hint of white chocolate in the aftertaste. Ok.

Burgundowe, mętnawe piwo o różowej, niezbyt obfitej, puszystej i szybko znikającej pianie oraz słodkawym, owocowym aromacie. W smaku słodkawe, wiśniowe, kwaskowe z gorzkim, pestkowym finiszem.

Ruby body with a soft pink head, resembling a kriek. Sweet cherry aroma. Maraschino cherries with some bready yeast and mild alcohol heat. Medium bodied. Sweet cherries are the focus here.

Let me preface this by saying that I like everything about cough syrup. I like the smell, I love the taste. Now having said that, knowing the Delirium brand, I had high hopes for this beer. This 330ml bottle has a best before date of the end of November 2016. Poured into a tulip glass a deep cloudy ruby red with a less than one finger light pink head that dissipates quickly leaving some streaky lacing. Smells of sweet bubblegum cherry, candy cane and slight almond. Tastes like sweet sweet cherry, then sour cherry, then a lasting bitter cherry. I’m fine with medicinal tastes and cherry, but this was just odd… maybe a bit artificial, and the balance was not really there. But there’s absolutely no hint of the 8% alcohol. It’s light bodied with low carbonation. Like I said, I like the medicinal/cough syrup tastes and the colour and the smell of the beer after the pour were great. However the taste was just a mix bag of all over the place. I think that there are better beers out there for this style. If it was in front of me, I would drink it, but I’m not sure that I would buy this beer again.
