Cherry smell with maybe a bit of a mineral smell. Medium carbonation with some foam. Taste is cherry, the Stevia that they use, a general red berry taste mixed with a slight bit of bitterness, and a bit of a minerally or possibly metallic sort of taste in the aftertaste that sticks to the tongue/roof of the mouth for a while. Given that I paid around 5 bucks for this 11.2oz bottle, I can definitely say that I wouldnít buy this again.

0.33l bottle. Well, itís definitely red this. Cloudy raspberry brown on the pour and it has a nice big pinkish really lacing medium sized head. Hmm.. What does this smell? Hard to describe really, but fermented strawberries, some raspberries, lime zest and lots of sweet cherries guess sums it up pretty precisely. Oh, itís sweet this. Cloying. Really cloying and a tad to much for my liking. The cherries sweet dominates the taste here. Itís thick and oily in the mouth and it had that creamy growing carbonation level. This is a tad to much for my liking to be honest. Itís not bad tasting, and I guess it can work as a sipper, but here in the steaming sun itís just not a perfect match. I must admit this time did not know that this was a cherry beer when I opened the bottle. 18.07.2014

tmoreau (2474) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2014
Shared crockery-look, coated 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a fairly clear, coppery red color, with a fingerís width of soft white head foam, and light spots of lacing. The nose was expressive cherry that was on the artificial side, but by no means medicinal, as many fruit beers with this aroma tend to be, some syrupy sweetness, and a touch of tartness. The taste was similar, medium bodied, with lively, fizzy carbonation, and continued tartness into the finish. Not as part of a steady diet, but a nice, dessert-like change of pace to our tasting session.

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep red with similarly pink head. Taste is super sweet, tangy, sticky and tart getting a little sickly in places. Not as well-balanced as the likes of Kasteel Rouge.

Bottle 33cl, a red beer with huge pink head. Nose is on red fruit and strawberries cream. Aroma is very very sweet, barley sugar, strawberries and raspberries touch, creamy body, less drinkable, aspartame finish.

(bottle - 330 ml) Red pour with a thin head. Sweet cherry aroma with a light dryness underneath. Sweet cherries up front with a definite dry almond middle and a slightly tart but still sweet cherry finish. Really nice.

DAA; Bottle 0, 33l. Pours hazy, murky reddish brown with a average, frothy, lacing, lasting off-white head. Nose is intense chemical cherries, malt, caramel,†almond, red berries, light citrus and spice. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet, light citrus, warming and somewhat artificial lasting. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I love cherries, artificial or not..

On tap at the Thirsty Monk (AVL). Dark red-amber body with a very good head. Loads of dark cherry aroma; hints of almonds and light spicing. Alcohol esters. Flavor. Medium tartness wins out over a noticeable sweetness and mild bitterness. Strong but appealing and balanced flavor.

Draft. Poured cloudy red color with moderate fizzy white color head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Good sour berry aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sour berry flavor with a moderate tart fruit bite finish of medium duration. Interesting beer.

"from notes: another one I went into with high expectations that just didnít deliver. i donít care for the sickly sweet cherry combined with light almond, in the aroma or flavor. otherwise average. "
