Colour and sight: Deep dark red colour, with a light pink, compact and lacing head. Scent: Soft fruity aroma, with hints of almond and mildly sour cherries. Flavour: Sweet and fruity, with a nice balance between sweet and sour. An excellent dessert beer.

Pours dark red with a minimal pink head. The aroma contains cherries, raspberries, other red fruits and sugar. It tastes heavy sweet to light sour. Sticky on the tongue with mild carbonation. Tastes nice but lacks depth in the aroma. This brewery can do better.

Hazy, red colour. Quite thin head. Sour at first. Berries and vanilla in the middle. Quite sweet. Sweetness starts to dominate. Some berries and brown sugar in the aftertaste. Not a mindblower. Quite messy even. However fits to be a desert.

Aroma is slightly faint cherries/berries and malts. The flavor is cherries, malts, fruit and a mild/medium sweet/very slightly bland finish.

Chestnut brown with red highlights, nice head. Strong aroma of wood and cherries. The taste is fruit with a nice sour kick...but wait, no....thereís no sour. Itís just sweet cherry. It almost takes like it wants some sour vinegar. But no. Itís still okay, but. Okay, but could have been better.

like candy...too sweet and cherry taste just hangs out in the mouth. I need a glass of water with the beer.

33cl bottle at home (30 XII 2015). A light pink collar tops a really dark red and even purple brown brew. The head is firm and lasts for a while - always a treat. The nose is nothing special and has an even unpleasant aroma. You can decipher the "kriek" flavours, maybe with some raspberries in there too. Yet this red fruit is overwhelmed by acidic dish water, or heatened red wine (yet no gluhwein). The taste is better though... but monotone as hell. Sweet cherries is the omnipresent mouthfeel. The sweetness is far too high, in relation to the nearly non-existing sourness. Which is, of course, a shame. The carbonation is mild, malts and bitterness are lacking big time. This is more of a fruit beer, then a red brown with cherries. And maybe more candy than beer: this Delirium Red makes up for some nice sips, but Huyghe should do better. This cherry brew is all about the sugarness, not balanced at all, monotonous, yet... drinkable for sure.

33cl bottle at home. Pours a hazy darkbrown/red colour with a pinkish foamy head which leaves lacing. Big aroma of cherries, caramel, malt. Taste is sweet with a sour finish. Notes of malts, cherries, caramel, candied sugar. Texture is sticky with average to low carbonation.

750mL bottled some time in 2014, drunk early 2015.
Thought this was a rebadge of Delirium Noel...boy was I in for a shock.
Light pinkish-red body has a small, pink-flecked, light beige head that steadily fades to cover. High, filtered clarity.
Candy, artificial sweetener, vanillin, a weird citrus character and, I donít know, more sugary notes. Alcohol is well-concealed at least....
In the flavor itís very Redbach-y. Fake cherry flavor, with a big coat of vanilla tending sugary again on the end. The "tart cherry" flavor seems to be a bit of acidity, though itís more medicinal than anything, really. Sugary, unbalanced, medicinal, with little/no beer character and some estery/alcoholic sharpness on the very end. Great to see the path the Delirium line is taking....
