3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from 2 be. Pours dark murky red with a pink tinged head. Aroma of cherries and other red berries. Near med body. Flavor has lots of cherry and berry. There’s a hint towards sour, but hardly any. It’s fairly good berry all the way to the finish. Certainly not dry, but there’s a little berry seed astringency. Certainly different and interesting.

Let me preface this by saying that I like everything about cough syrup. I like the smell, I love the taste. Now having said that, knowing the Delirium brand, I had high hopes for this beer. This 330ml bottle has a best before date of the end of November 2016. Poured into a tulip glass a deep cloudy ruby red with a less than one finger light pink head that dissipates quickly leaving some streaky lacing. Smells of sweet bubblegum cherry, candy cane and slight almond. Tastes like sweet sweet cherry, then sour cherry, then a lasting bitter cherry. I’m fine with medicinal tastes and cherry, but this was just odd… maybe a bit artificial, and the balance was not really there. But there’s absolutely no hint of the 8% alcohol. It’s light bodied with low carbonation. Like I said, I like the medicinal/cough syrup tastes and the colour and the smell of the beer after the pour were great. However the taste was just a mix bag of all over the place. I think that there are better beers out there for this style. If it was in front of me, I would drink it, but I’m not sure that I would buy this beer again.

1.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Even though the charming appearance of the bottle and the beautiful colour of the beer, it has a bad taste. The artificial sweet spoils all the beer taste and its quite unpleasant to drink. I had more expectatives on a Delirium product though I supose my shit will be red the next time.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow, really don’t understand the low rating. Dark cherry flavor and aroma through and through. Sweet, fruity, slightly tart. Purplish-red hue upon pour. I liked it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep ruby color, almost brown, topped with a white head with pink undertone. Pleasant fruity aroma, cherry, with quite some soury notes, cider-like. Taste is a nice combination of sweet and soury, with some yeasty notes in the finish. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at friends of ham, Leeds. Deep red with a pink head. Flavours are all cherry and almond. Taste is sweet and a bit sour, very slight bitterness afterwards. Densely carbonated with a sticky medium body. Tasty stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma has malt, yeast, cherry, and what may be raspberry as well. As I sip, I get some honey notes as well. The taste is sweet, but not cloying. Very enjoyable beer to drink, if you like fruit beers.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Color precioso, rojo oscuro.
