The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

On tap. Light body with richer finish. Great taste with a mild hoppiness. For the style the beer was great!

Nice light belgian ale. Almost too light, even alcohol gives some twist too. Strongly carbonated.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2011 Bottle. A bit of a sour citrusy aroma. Odd brown-green dishwater colour. Carbonation dies quickly. Sour, then wheat. Kind of spicy.

A solid belgian strong ale with enough complexity to keep most drinkers happy. Not quite as good as duvel but still a classic and worthy of your purchase. Yeasty, bready notes on the back palate are pleasant and beckons you to drink another. Not quite the best beer in the world but still very good.

Date: August 7, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: Freakin Frog, Las Vegas, NV Appearance: Translucent gold with large amount of head. Aroma: Yeast, citrus, honey and spice. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, thin bodied. Other: Really liked this beer and thought the alcohol was hidden amazingly well.

330mL bottle with ceramic-like appearance. Poured hazy golden color with lots of sediment and big white head with good retention and lace. Aromas of yeast and spice. Initial flavours are good with an undesirable bitter aftertaste. Otherwise, would have scored slightly higher.
