COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Aroma is very fruity up front. Lots of yeast, berry, some breadiness. Pours a clear golden straw color with a small head that dissipates quickly leaving little lace. Taste is citrus fruit and berry. Mouthfeel is moderately thin, leaves a feeling that there should be more waiting. All in all a good beer, but for the price there should be more to it.

Like Nocturnum, my favorite of the Delirium family, this beer has nice white fluffy head. The beer pours orange/gold, and the head lasted through the entire glass. Fruity aroma and taste, almost excessive carbonation, I can watch that all day looking into a light. Delicious with lots of bready, yeasty qualities and punctuated with a bit of spices. Some hop notes, especially in the finish. Smooth, creamy and medium bodied. Dry finish leaves you wanting more. Extremely smooth for the high ABV. Hard to believe I like the Nocturnum more, Guess I need to buy one and find out why.

Bottle: Pours yellow with decent head. Very sweet aroma and flavor. Not bad, but not great. Certainly not worth the price.

Bit overwhelming at first, which is mainly because of the very large CO2 bubbles. Quite a lot of yeast in it sometimes, even when you pour carefully. And 1 more thing: pink elephants.

Bottle. Nice golden color pour with a lingering head. Heavy fruit aroma with apples, citrus, and grape. Taste of fresh fruit with light malts and a bitter finish.

Test vom 9.12.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,9,9,8,7,9 - 9,15

33 cl bottle from Passione Birra. Golden orange colour with tons of tiny white bubbles. Nice fruity aroma. In the mouth is where imho the mess begin. Waaay too much carbonation; it’s almost like drinking a chaimpagne glass! I didn’t like the spicey after taste neither. Not a beer for my palate I’d say. Cool looking bottle though.
