The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Cette bière reste incontestablement ma préférée ! Tout est parfait, du packaging à la bière elle-même.

Delirium Tremens is a great beer for all you basic commercialized beer drinkers who want to enjoy some crafted beer. It has a decent aroma and a good sized head. The small bits of fruit pulp really enriches the beer with a sour flavor. Very good beer overall. It pairs well with Humpty Dumpty’s Party Mix chips (Pretzels, Cheesies, etc.). Pairs decently with all chips to be completely honest.

Had a pint at Sir John A in Ottawa. Arrived with a thin layer of fizzy foamy head. Golden yellow appearance. Has a mild hoppy aroma with some malts on the back end. Somewhat grassy as well. Flavours are fairly sweet, mostly on the hops side of things. A bit of malts. Some fruits, sorta lemony. Hint of banana and notes of apples and pears. Really tasty that’s for sure! Tingling mouthfeel with a bit of tartiness. Pretty darn good stuff.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours clear golden, nose is toffee, sugary, caramel, grassy, taste is similar, dry, sweet.

Sampled from the distinctive ceramic-like bottle. Very hazy yellow colour with lots of sediment. Tight white head. Delicious aromas of yeast and malt. The taste is very yeasty with notes of malt, banana and lemon. It is quite a light-bodied beer, hiding its high ABV very well. A complex taste and high drinkablility makes this is unforgettable beer. I would love to try this on draught!
