COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Since 1654. açık sarı bir renk. Pilsenerler gibi. köpük oluşturamadık. Bardak boş kaldığında göre orjinalde iyi köpüğü olması lazım. Bira bardakta gazlı,koku meyveli. Pembe filli bir bardak, seramik görünümlü bir şişe. Ben içimi diğer belçika biraları kadar iyi bulmadım ama ödüller almış. koku cezbedici, içim rahat.

Aroma: fruity (mango?), yeast, herbs; Appearance: yellowish, cloudy, big white head; Taste: lightly bitter, moderately sweet, lightly sour; Palate: light-to-medium body, creamy/smooth feel, average carbonation, long bittersweet finish; Overall: very good, quite refreshing but a little too sweet as for me

On tap at Carpool in Herndon/Reston, VA. Clear, bright gold with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of hay, apple, pear, caramel, pineapple, yeast and citrus. Taste of apple, earthy yeast, pineapple, caramel, lemon, hay and pear. Full/medium body and medium carbonation. Very good, but far from their claim of "the best beer in the world." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A: nice bright colour, sunny; fast subsiding head, no lacing to mention (may have been the - clean - glass?) S: very odd smell, medicinal, made me think of band aids (the classic ones) T: quite hoppy, faint hint of honey, alcohol only present in the afterwarmth M: crisp, bubbly, but too lightbodied to my liking D: quite drinkable all in all, but very deceptive due to the rather high ABV; it isn’t called "delirium tremens" for nothing... Not bad, but for me a one time experience

Nice gold-colored beer, with pieces of yeast floating around in it. It has a full aroma, a touch of alcohol, and sweet fruity. It tastes a little bit bitter, but turns in into a bitter aftertaste. Mooi, goudkleurig bier, waar je de restjes gist in rond ziet drijven. Het aroma is vol, vleugje alcohol en zoet fruitig. De smaak is lichtjes bitter, maar dit gaat over in een bittere nasmaak.

Brilliant. The blond side of BSA. Hardcore. Hell yeah, shit’s getting real. Cousin’s hooked me up with an ugly black fretless one.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale straw, with a white head. Spicy, fruity aroma, citrus, grapefruit, yeast, hops, light caramel, light phenols. Off-dry, light to medium bodied, mid bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, hoppy taste, grapefruit, yeasty phenols, faintly acidic. Overrated. (2013-04-11)

June 2011. From a 33 cl. bottle. One of the most common Belgian beers in the US and a very good representation of the style. Citrus and fruity aromas, good bitterness on the finish.

33cl bottle from Belgium. Citrus and pear aroma with a foamy white head. Lemony and crisp. A lot of character for a blonde beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle. Pours a medium golden color with a large fluffy white head. Strong Belgian and malt aroma, with a fruity sweet background. Taste is sweet Belgian candi and yeast, with a fruity and spicy aftertaste.
