3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very clear light yellow body with nice white head, but disappears quickly. Aroma is not so intense, but complex. Mainly yeasty, malty, but I would say similar to some Belgian wit beers. Tastes bready, some chestnuts and maybe some wooden. Definitely dry. Taste doesn’t stay long. It’s not my style, but I appreciate this beer.

Clear golden beer with small head but lots of lacing. Aroma has some sweet fruits and belgian yeast. Taste is quite sweet at first, some fruits here as well but in the end it turns into more hoppy flavors and bitterness. Mouth feel is crispy and medium bodied.

Strong taste, kind of sweet one. Interesting yeasty aroma, bit of bananas, spices, herbs. Not as good as it could be but still drinkable.

Gold like champaign. Large white head. Smells of citrus and banana and spice. Taste of complex yeast, light malt no hops. High carbonation.

From 750 ml bottle into a snifter glass. Corked popped out violently.
A: Strong fruity yeast esters, light hints of banana, and a spicy yeastiness.
A: Poured like champagne, clear, yellow body with a 3-finger white head that refused to dissipate.
T: Follows the nose, citrus fruit, bananas and layers of malty flavors with a spicy, dry finish.
P: Medium bodied and finishes very crisp and dry. Carbonation is high and quite bubbly.
O: Very well balanced Belgian strong pale ale. Top notch.

Not bad, but I prefer Duvel to this. Typically complex in the extreme as most Belgian beers tend to be, Delirium pours a rich golden colour with possibly the most majestic and everlasting head I have ever seen. Aroma is similar to a wheat beer like Hoegaarden - floral, pungent, and spicy. Heavy flavors of malt, banana, and sweet spice. Aftertaste has a slight hoppy bite. Heavy cabonaton. It’s a quality beer, but like I said, I prefer Duvel still.

330ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a foamy white head. Aroma is yeast, spices, banana, citrus, vanilla, a bit funky. Taste is honey, peach, apricot, lemon, cloves, grass, alcohol warmth and a touch of salt. Medium body, lively carbonation, creamy texture. Clean finish.

Taste of grass/hay, spicy Belgian yeast, and a minor hint of bubblegum. Warming alcohol at the end. Not the best I’ve ever had, but a good beer nonetheless

Great beer. Never been able to find in stores in Ontario, Canada, but you can find it in a few great pubs/restaurant/bars in Toronto that tend to have big selection of craft beers and imports. Great Belgian beer, great taste, and cool pink elephants on the glass. I have made the mistake a couple of times of drinking it as if it was a lager, the alcohol sure can catch up to you fast. Some rough mornings the next day, hahaha.

Bottle: sunshine yellow body, fully golden opacity with a fluffy & chunky white head that perches on top & shows good staying power... Moderate lacing left behind. Small pieces of sediment float around. Aroma full of light, sweet yeasty esters & malt. Clove, coriander, white pepper, banana taffy & banana bread, buttery malt, a touch of phenol, & some grassy hops in the back-end. Taste is crisp & tight, highly carbonated. Banana, bubblegum, clove, faint pineapple, white pepper, green apple, grassy & musky hop notes, buttered bread-y yeast, & a touch of medicinal-ish phenol notes in the finish. Good balance all around, finishing with a mild, almost residual-like sweetness. My favorite of the Delirium trio, tasty brew all around.
