3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiercepanda (258) - Missouri, USA - MAY 13, 2011
Huge amounts of carbonation and a long lasting thick white head. Very pale golden color. Aroma is sweet, mostly of pineapple. The taste isn’t overwhelmed by the alcohol content, lots of malt and fruit flavors that come through. The carbonation gives a spicy sensation on the tongue, but the palate is a bit thin. Still, a very solid and tasty brew.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cirrhosis (887) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 13, 2011
This was one of my first craft beers way back in the day, I remember buying this because I thought the bottle looked cool and the 9% was awesome but I haven’t had it in a very, very long time now. Brownish blond cloudy body with a sad looking white skiff on top. Sour white wine type aroma, lots of fresh apple juice….nope not apple it’s more like a pear cider, the wheaty/yeast aromas a fairly mild. Trying to remember why I use to like this. Sour acidic flavor but has a nice sweet wheat malt under that. Very lemony and has a crisp stinging mouth feel. Starting to improve now with warmth. Malts are thickening and sour is disappearing. Beer is starting to be as good as I remember just not the epic beer I thought it was. Good beer in the end it just not nearly as good other Belgian strong ales that are out there. Still a great beer to let newbies have to get them interested in exploring the world of beer. My marks seem low!

Draft, golden color, aroma of mild candy sugars, slight hops aroma. Taste is lite sweetness. Finishes somewhat dry as compared to other belgiums. Med-lite body, average carbonation. Great beer, greatest beer in the world claim is up for debate. Very smooth, well rounded drinking beer though.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jaimenavarrog (55) - MEXICO - MAY 11, 2011
Una espusa increible blanca y durarera, el aroma un tanto extraño como a lupulo no tanto a malta o trigo, el sabor amargo no muy agradable, de color amarillo brillante pero tenia residuos, debut y despedida
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 EdKing (772) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2011
Bottle pours orange amber with big white foaming head. Also bits of yeast floating around in there. Nose is nice and delicate. Spicy malt nose, but of zest citrous, yeast and light fruits. Taste is really fragrant on the tongue. Peach, apricot, citrous with a lovely perfumed finish. Really fine ale and very easy and pleasant to drink.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OmegaX (383) - Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2011
Bottle into tulip. Gifted by Chipalsa. The pour was like pouring a nice champagne, with a nice, big, white head and sloppy lacing. The color was like straw or hay left out in the sun. The potent aroma had many notes of almost over ripe bananas and peach with some nice yeast follow-up. The taste was great. Solid yeast flavor up front with a spicy, fruity flavor reminding me of apricot and grape. For some reason this beer reminded me of a good white zinfandel. Great stuff that everyone should at least try once.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours translucent yellow, big particles of yeast, with big bright white head. Highly carbonated, good lacing, and Taste is comples malty citrus and yeast. Easy to drink and alcohol is pretty well covered. Good but this is a tripel.
