3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Huge white frothy head- mostly lasting. Amazing lacing.
Murky goden color with large particles floating around. Aromas of yeast, bubblegum, fruit and some malts.
Flavor is initiallly mildly sweet and sour and finishes moderately sour. There is also a bad chemical kick in the waining moments of the swallow. Finish duration is average. Light bodied. Watery texture. Very fizzy carbonation. This was an okay belgian. That bad chemical kick was a bit distracting.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
11.2 oz. bottle. Lot number 2/6. Beer is clear, medium-gold colored. Head is large, frothy, white, carbonation makes fat star trails to the surface. Head almost totally diminishes.

Aroma is thick, heady. Malty with moderate notes of toasted grain, caramel; Hoppy with moderate perfumey floral and pointed herb notes, light notes of lemon zest and pine; Yeasty with moderate notes of cellar; Moderate miscellaneous note of spicy alcohol, light notes of melty plastic/white glue/hairspray, tropical fruit, coriander. Good, but ruined for me by the chemically notes.

The flavor is moderately sweet, trace bitter, light-to-moderately acidic with a long, lightly acidic, lightly sweet finish. Alcohol content is almost totally hidden. Not very exciting or full.

The body is light, the texture is watery-velvety and the carbonation is lively.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at Delirium Café, Göteborg, Sweden. Deep golden, slightly haze, medium fluffy white head. Aroma has some nice fruitiness, along with typical spicy yeast notes, and some citric hops. Ok mouthfeel, but flavour is way too sweet for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted last at Horsebrass Pub. Pungent hoppy-floral aroma. Could even smell it over Horsebrass room smoke on a medium busy Sunday. Tart and slightly sour. Finished with light hoppy presence. Small fizzing head. Hmmm.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
stoneware looking bottle labled 11.2 fl oz ..this actualy was the large bottle (750 mil?) I almost didn’t buy it because it looked like it was trying to be an expensive bottle but I could tell it was a glass bottle disguised as ceramic....pours slightly cloudy/bubbly golden.. good malt and hop balance...some banana aromas and taste...slightly sweet disguising the alchohol...very good beer but doesn’t stand up to many of the other Belgian ales....inexpensive for the 750ml...at this price I will definately buy it again...overall very good

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
i clearly remember being taken aback by the wonderful experience with this one. golden full bodied and perfectly carbonated. hints of banana, pear, raisin and cream bun made this the perfect addition to a sunny and crisp spring day. beautiful foamy head that doesn’t stick around too long. alcohol taste is moderate and combines well. this is the belgian that the belgians can brag aboout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 oz in quart jar. Some UFOs swirling around in the fizzy pear-colored liquid with a medium-sized, white and lasting head. Aroma is peppery-malt gum, soaked in alcohol. Taste is dry bread, yeast, and gum. Dry and fiery finish warms the gullet. Palate is light to medium. Aftertaste is fruit, wax, oil and kerosene. Not as complex as I expected, and the complexity of oil-based products is not really what I look for in a beer. Draft I had a few years back was better.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I enjoy this a lot, have has several times but never rated, had on tap which was a treat, kind of a golden rod color with a diminishing white head, fragrent hops, light bitter finish, well balanced. Understand the reference as a belgian light but there is still a high alcohol %.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2015 33cl bottle, poured in a goblet. The top-fermentation - re-fermented in the bottle - tripel is a true classic. A very golden, clear and vivid beer, with a small foam head. The aroma is strong, with citrus and malt flavours. The malty nose is also present in the taste, with soft bitter ending. A spicy beer, but never overwhelming - so good and nice to drink.
Love to drink this beer. It is not that strong, yet very enjoyable as a strong ale. Great appearance too.
