COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Bomber poured into Imperial Pint. Golden with as much sediment as bubbles. Champagne taste and aroma. Sour and light hop notes. ABV very well hidden. My first real Belgian Strong. Will have to sample more.

Had both in bottle and on tap. Fair amount of carbonation, hint of orange and other citrus. This is a very unique beer, not my favorite. Certainly worth trying.

Golden colour, has got a little bit alcoholic and sweet smell and usually good head. One of the good Belgium beers which has nothing wrong, but lacks interesting aromas.

Glass poured with a bunch of floaties that were suspended in the beer throughout the duration. It tasted damn good though. Couldn’t help but be a little grossed out/worried about drinking the floating snot particulates though. Flavor was very well balanced and even had a bit of dryness, 8.5 ABV very well hidden

Poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of grapes, hops, and Belgian yeast. Taste has some citrus that mixes well with the pale malts. It is also sweet and fruity, but slightly syrupy. Overall a very nice ale.

Pours a lightly foggy light gold with bubbly foam. Smells sweet and light. Tastes sweet of bubblegum, and the bitterness from any hops are very mild and almost taste sour, plus there’s the a bit of clove flavor coming from the Belgian yeast.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow/blonde with lots of carbonation. Huge white head. Crisp citrus, grass, sweet and a little wheaty. Creamier and smoother then I remembered, can’t taste the alcohol at all. Hint of bitterness at the end but mellows completely out. Might have to order this on tap to see how it measures up.
