The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Amazing Beer. Has great escence. Look rich with a deep brassy feel and has a decent white foam. Taste smooth with the taste of fruit. Goes down very easy.

Pours a hazy gold with a large white head. There’s a slight citrus aroma along with a floral as well. Pretty balanced taste but it’s pretty lacking as far as Belgian strongs go. Light fizzy palate with a pleasant finish. This is a good beer but there are much better for the same price.

11.2 oz. bottle in Tremens snifter. Despite the cheesy New Years eve champagne special bottle with the floating pink elephants, this was a very good beer. Hazy yellow pour with huge frothy white head. Mild flavors and smooth finish. Great Belgian.

Very light very murky blond. There are alot of fairly large particles that don’t sink but remain suspended throughout. Not much aroma, some alcohol, some dry grass. Taste is very light with just a hint of citrus and some spice. Little bit tangy on the finish. The unique thing about this brew is the heat it leaves in your throat for such a lite beer. It doesn’t taste it’s best ice cold so let it get to 50 odd degrees. Also, it’s not worth the 12$ for a 25oz. bottle. Of course, these last are solely "in my opinion" statements.

Golden color with a bit of white head. Fruity aroma, some crisp pear. Citrus aromas as well - flavors of banana and candi sugar. It’s a bit hot, not very smooth. Definitely not a bad brew, but there are much better belgians out there.

It is a solid beer from Delirium. I preferred the nocturnum. This one is a light pale orangeish gold with a big head.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2011 Candy sweetness with a lot of alcohol burn. Really a great beer, just gets a bad rap.
