Bottle Conditioned.

The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

330 ml ceramic bottle. Pours medium gold, slightly cloudy with a persistent white head. Nose is a doughy/yeasty note with some hints of citrus and hay malt. Taste was suprisingly complex given the color - biscuit to caramel malt sweetness, well balanced with citrus and grassy hop notes. Finishes with lemongrass notes and alcohol warming that linger for a while.

Remarkable overall. Very light and yet filled with flavour. Pale yellow with thick foam. Yeast and fermented sugar in flavour. Alcohol is well hidden. Great stuff.

This is one of my absolute favorite beers. I don’t pretend to be an expert, but this beer leaves me smiling every time i drink it.

Small bottle. My beer is straw yellow like Duvel. Why is it not amber like in the picture? Aroma has lemon and ginger. Taste is sweet and bitter, a bit like orange peel. Mouthfeel is thin. Interesting, but not my style.

Just as awesome as the Nocturnum. I guess they are like the halves, counterparts, or evil twins of eachother.

Thick, very white head. Light copper in appearance. Strong, malty aroma, not fruity. Slight hoppiness comes through in the taste. Not very carbonated at all, just right. A smooth treat that hides its ABV well.

Pours golden with nice white head, lots of sediment from the bottle, good carbonation. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel, acidy fruity, perry ... really nice. Crispy fruity sweet mouthfeel. Acidy sweet, hoppy, fruity of bananas and citrus and pears, delicious. Acidy sweet palate. Finishes first fruity sweet turning into a verry tart bitter hoppy longlived bite. Love this beer!

20-nov-2010 33cl bottle at home. Hazy light yellow beer with a thick white head. Smells sweet and fruity, but the taste is pretty dry.
