3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 luttonm (852) - Belgrade, SERBIA - AUG 9, 2010
.33l bottle brought from Rare Beers in Budapest to Belgrade. Old friend, guess I’ve never rated. Pours light, spritely white-yellow with foamy head. Lots of carbonation, comes through the fresh yeasty-sweet nose. Was one of the first belgians I remember trying, and it still is a rush of bubblegum, vanilla and sugar. Spicy yeast is the backbone of the beer. Runs into Wit territory too. Always tasty.

(draught 0,25l)
Sweet, light spicy, light fruit aroma. Clear golden color. Minimal white head. Medium sweet, spicy flavour. Fizzy. Light sticky texture. Astringent finish. Good beer, but could look better.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 jaghana (1803) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - AUG 7, 2010
Bottle 33cl. A cloudy yellow beer with huge head. Smell is fruity and yeast like. Aroma is on classic Belgian blond ale but orange and lemon aroma is too heavy. Body is medium, some wheat malt aroma, very basic, bit disappointing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 adam42381 (331) - Fort Myers, Florida, USA - AUG 5, 2010
Poured from a 11.2 ounce bottle into a Delirium Tremens snifter.
Appearance: Pours a clear, light gold with a huge frothy white 4 finger head which dissipates fairly quickly. Minimal lacing. Tons of sediment floating around throughout the beer.
Smell: Sweet Belgian yeast with hints of apple and light phenols.
Taste: Mix of sweet fruits and malts up front followed with light phenols in the middle. Nice mix of sweetness and lighly bitter hops at the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-medium-bodied with a high amount of carbonation. Quite smooth for a beer of this ABV.
Drinkability: Excellent drinkability. You don’t really notice the alcohol at all so this one could very well sneak up on you.
Overall: Very good beer overall. This is one I would recommend trying if you’ve never had it before. I’ll be buying more in the future.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 talon1117 (1011) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 4, 2010
The pour is a cloudy, gold color with lots of sediment and a white, full, frothy, somewhat lasting head which leaves some soapy lace. The nose is very nice and not as sweet as I remember; herbal hints (rosemary, thyme), floral, light candi sugar, toasted grains, maybe some faint white pepper. The flavor is sweet, as I remember, light candi sugar, some cotton candy, but also white pepper, strong and similar herbal notes, light grains, and very light orange peels. The palate is lively to fizzy, medium, and creamy but also dry feeling, mostly from the carbonation level. Finishes long with bitter oranges, herbal, pepper, and some diminishing candi sugar. Surprisingly much more tripel-ish than I remember with the spice and herbal notes being more prominent than the sweet notes. This brewery does very well with these sweeter-than-normal beers but this one was the most balanced, by far. Nice offering.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 daliesque (60) - Texas, USA - AUG 1, 2010
I haven’t had this for awhile. It’s really pretty - huge head, nice lace, cloudy gold. Smells boozy, like bananas... and like a little bit of ammonia (?!). I’m disturbed. Hm, this tastes more watery than i remembered. It’s not bad, but it’s... gah, it’s just not as good as i remembered. maybe this is just my taste buds becoming more sophisticated.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bigred22 (79) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUL 31, 2010
This beer catches the banana beer flavor as good as any tripel I have tasted. It is a very bitter beer, but not in a bad way. Sweet from the moment it enters your mouth. I drink a glass or two of this beer once a week.
