COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Drank from the tap at the Lazy boy Saloon in White Plains, NY. Tastes very light for an 8.5% beer. Nice subtle sweetness, some fruit flavors come through as well. Aftertaste is a little dry.

One typical stronger belgian ale. Heavy on alcohol and soury-bitter fruitiness. Aroma of apple and citric fruits. Malty sweet, but not dominant. Spicy notes. Citric wheaty aftertaste. Medium carbonated. Smells of alcohol and citric fruits. Cloudy yellow body, medium head. Ceramic-like bottle attracts attention.

Bottle. Yellow-brown body, cloudy, topped with a big, creamy head of white--fully lasting, sheets and rings of lace. Aroma is earthy, grassy, lemon, clove, coriander, a delicate fruitiness. The palate is medium-full with creamy carbonation. Flavor is lightly sweet with sugar and clove, lightly sour with lemon, clove and a long, lightly hopped finish. The finish is woody, laced with clove, balanced, apple cider. Crisp and refreshing, enjoyed.

Tasted at Griffin Beverage trade show. Hazy yellow-orange pour with generous bubbly but relatively short-lived head. Aromas of lemon and orange peel, tart apples, spice. Same tastes on palate, but a little fruitier and definitely yeastier. Easy to take down, especially for an 8.5% beer.

Pours a very pale yellow. Tight white head, with nice lacing. Taste is floral and yeasty. Aroma is same. A very easy to drink beer with a very dry finish.

Excellent strong and richest flavour and aroma. Enough kick and deliciousness to make it a perfect dessert.
