COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.

The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2011 Bottle. Pours light honey golden with an inch of fluffy white head. Aroma is apple cider and yeast. The flavor begins very dry and yeasty with lots of cloves and grassy hops. It follows with some white wine sweetness and finishes crisp and bubbly like a fine champagne. Another excellent Belgian Strong Ale in the style of Duvel.

330 ml bottle from SAQ, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BB N 11.

App.: Hazy bright golden with a large white foam. Aroma: Pungently fruity with lots of yeast and wet bread dough, tangy with some light vinegar and organic acids, light tropical fruit esters, a touch woodsy, light green bitter herbs, sweet honey, light earthy citrus, peach/apricot, a little alcohol. Palate: Medium-ish body, full, round effervescence. Flav.: Honey and slightly buttery?, quite fruity, some esters, a bit more inviting and less harsh than the nose, bread/biscuit, yeasty, the organic acids are much lighter, lightly woody, still a little estery, a touch of alcohol; sweet with decent balancing bitterness, a little alcohol and a fruity finish.

I’m not trembling.

Bottle. Very refreshing and pleasant on the tongue as it effectively blends malts and hops. I can’t find anything about it that isn’t satisfying-it smells nice, tastes nice and you can drink lots of it. It has a pleasant orange haze color.

Amber/gold with white foam. Cherry, apple, honey, pineapple aromas. Heavy sweet and lightly sour. Light bodied, lightly carbonated, long, sweet finish. Highly drinkable. Quite a treat!

vintage 2009 750ml. pours pale gold with a 2 finger thick white bubbly head that fell at a rather fast pace. the body is slightly cloudy and gold with a god amount of co2 rising up all around the glass. the aromas are a little fruity and light with notes of yeast, lemon, hops, and sweet grains. it is light to medium bodied with a really nice bubbly mouthfeel that was very lively. i taste the noted aromas but it starts bitter and finishes very crisp, dry, and somewhat sweet. has a really nice long lasting afertaste that was refreshing. i would love to drink this on a hot summer day.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2010 I really liked this pint bottle. Also served in goblets at the Yard House. A light bodied beer, but distinguishes itself by just being so tasty. Bitter, herbal hoppy tastes and smells. Pours smooth, minimal white head forming, goes down smooth too. My favorite light colored beer. This is easy drinking.

1pint 9.4oz bottle. Poured into Chimay glass. Pours a very light off-copper with a medium thick head that dissipates quickly. Smells of straight coriander. The taste is a classic Belgian: coriander, orange peels, herbally. Very good beer.
