The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

bottle poured into a Delirium snifter glass... perfect pour with a deep golden color and a huge 3 finger rocky white head which settles down to a thin layer... yeast and spice on the nose... big round body with a nice layer of carbonation, yeast up front with more spice and a some light fruit... dry finish.

Pours a clear pale gold w/ an effervescent champagne head, aroma of fruity esters and alcohol, a very light touch of olive brine, flavor is dry fruit with a bone dry finish and a carbonated bite, very reminiscent of a good champagne

Finally got to try this one this Wednesday as it became available in the Hopdevil in Zagreb some time ago. Poured a golden? (it was hard to perceive the exact shade in the half dark) body with a big fluffy thick white head that went away slooow. Several very lively streams of carbonation came from the bottom of the glass. It’s perfectly clear and that surprised me, ah well. The nose is already a bit complex but nothing too great, slightly but a little too acidic dusty pollen, slightly spicy, some fruitiness too. The taste was a lot nicer though Refreshing and sweetish, there were notes of oranges and chalk. Some slightly acidic hop bitterness too and a teeny tiny note of banana. Ruined a bit by the metallic off flavors that show up from time to time but still a nice beer with a fine, supple even mouthfeel.

Clear golden yellow, thick foamy white head. Aroma of vibrant peach and pear, honey, berry, tartness. yeast, and earthy hops. Taste is more grain with an earthy bitterness. Slightly syrupy sweet . Medium body, fizzy carbonation.

Very normal appearance I have to say, just a strange foamy top and an okay yellow colour. Aroma is of corn, spices, and hops, slightly spicy, a unique mix for sure. Taste is a sweet affair up front, syrupy, lots of hops and coriander, very strong, sour finish. A real punch in the face after some bland brews, you’ll remember this one.

Bottle. Pours with a billowing white head over a golden body, with suspended yeast. A spicey aroma, floral, orange peel. A warm spicey taste, honey like maltiness, with a rising bitterness as the beer finishes. A warm, syrupy thick mouthfeel. Nice.
