The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Often enjoyed, especially on tap, but never reviewed. Finally, a 11.2 oz. bottle poured to the specialty tulip glass with a clear, deep golden color, white, frothy/creamy head foam, and clingy, web-like lacing. The aroma was light doughy yeast, light syrupy sweetness, melon, apple, a hint of banana, a touch of spice, and soft malt. The flavor was similar notes, adding soft hop bitterness, lively effervescence, and subtle dryness and warmth to this always welcome, medium bodied, benchmark Golden Belgian Strong.

Fruity taste, hoppy bitter finish, lots of carbonation, very refreshing, light blond color, nice white head, great for a hot summer day

Poured into tulip at Uber in Seattle. Pours light, golden, and with three fingers of white head. Smells sweet, floral, citrusy. Belgium yeast comes out. Very complex flavor index, but very well balanced. Banana and mango. Light citrus. Honey. There’s a lot going on. Smooth and crisp, carbonated. Overall it’s a very light and refreshing drink with a decent punch. My favorite beer that is readily available. If only it weren’t so expensive.

Bottle 33 cl. A cloudy pale golden colour with a small white head. An aroma of malt, apple, pineapple, orange and hops. The taste is medium sweet. A medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation and a long, fruity finish. A great beer

Pours gold with white head, smells earthly, very light. Tastes mildly sweet with a hint of sourness. Has a strong, bitter aftertaste to it. Definitely unique, but not exactly quite what I was looking for.
