Commercial Description:
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

In the bottle at RFD Washington. Looks like a budweiser, tastes like nectar of the gods. This schizophrenic character of the ale just keeps on bombarding you. Gold in color. The aroma is medicinal, but mellow. The palate is a New York Subway ride on your tongue at rush hour. At first, I tasted honey, then cotton candy, then rubber bands, then bananas, then WHEW!!! A continually changing cavalcade of surprises. This can't be beer. This is something way more demonic.

Pours a bright golden color, slightly cloudy, with a medium white head. Aroma is citrus, apples, slight malty sweetness. Flavor is fruity, apples again, some cereal malt, and a more hoppy bitterness than I’d expected. Finish is slightly bitter. High carbonation. Not bad, but not worth what it costs, at least for my taste.

Am i the only one who thought this tasted like soda (sprite or 7up.) A yeasty fruity aroma that tingled my nose, but the taste was unbalanced. Large bubble head, white. Had it off the tap at Chimes. Not something i would purchase again.

Looks like hazy champagne with a frothy white head. Smells of yeast, bread, and citrus. Malt, lemon, and wheat to start, finishes kind of sweet with an undertone of hops. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation, very easy to drink. Above average beer and one that goes well with food.

Appearance: golden color, lively bubbles. Medium head, white and lasting. Aroma: sweet smells of oranges and pineapples, but mainly of cherries with artificial profile. Floral hops aromas and slight lemon hints. Flavor: malty start, light citric fruitiness similar to lemon skin and pineapples. Hoppy progress, some herbal with medium bitterness and very lasting. Warming final. Malty aftertaste. Palate: light to medium body and semi-oily texture. Low to medium carbonaion. Remark: disappointing beer, one-dimensional and with unjustified alcoholic degree. Over-estimated beer.

Strong aroma. Pale-yellow pour, with a thick foamy white head. Very, very strong bitterness to it, but very crisp. 8.5% Alcohol level, which means....it’ll get ya drunk! I liked.
