The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Recomendadissima

Nice thick white head... good lacing drops onto a clear golden brew with thousands of little yeasty globules that look like translucent ice chunks... not terrible just distracting. Smell is Belgian esters and lemony Belgian pale malts... spicy with very lite peaches and apricots... maybe a little green apple skin. Flavor is brighter than the aroma, but with a bunch more spiciness... distinct lemon verbena finish.... punchy, lite/medium body with more than its fair share of carbonation.

Pours clear light gold with a big white head, little lacing. Fresh aroma of citrus, spice, yeast, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet with carbonation sourness not far behind and some grapefruitty bitterness on finish. High carbonation, light to medium body, a little alco warmness on finish. Deceptively fresh and drinkable, quite dangerous :)

Bottle 330ml. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a hazy gold with chunks of sediment. Head is large, foamy, white and lasts well. Aroma is of herbaceous hops and wholegrain bread; straw, pears, lemon zest, coriander, pepper, cloves and a touch of honey. Flavour is a light herbaceous-hop bitterness with notes of sour dough, grains, pear skins, white grape skins, lemon zest, pepper and a spicy/herbaceous finish. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation and a long warming finish.

Poured from a faux ceramic 11.2 oz bottle into a tulip. A striking clear orange with a thick white and persistent head. Beautiful to look at. Aroma is yeast, fruity. Light body, some spice and a little alcohol, lively carbonation with nice lacing on the glass.

Bottle from Bon Repas. Nice honey gold colour, fluffy white head with staying power. Decent yeast aroma, spicy phenols, fruity. Flavour is similar, fruitiness like pear and nectarine nestling amongst bready malt and yeast. It’s so easy to drink, a light fizz before a creamy middle and dry finish. Very refreshing with only a slight hint of the ABV. Really nice.
