The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Very effervescent, probably over 4 volumes of CO2. Nice golden-orange color, bright white head, thick with fine bubbles. Can feel the alcohol on the palate. Dry finish. Very nice example of a Begian Strong.

Served in a snifter from a bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a medium head. Aroma is malt, bread, yeast. Taste is malty and bready but also quite sour? A bit watery and too carbonated body. The horrible sour finish is not a nice one, that’s for sure!!!

Piwo o zniewalającej butelce, etykiecie i kapslu - nie do podmałpowania. Bardzo mocne, więc ostrożnie z pijalnością. Obfita piana, duże wysycenie CO2. Klasyk, trzeba spróbować dla własnych wrażeń.

Big head, clear golden color. Smells zest, malt, belgian yeast. Medium body with some malt and perfume. Slightly watery and overcarbonated. There’s also an unpleasant acid spike in the finish.

Bottle from M&S Exeter, pours clear pale gold with a massive white head, aroma of candy sugar, fresh bread & stone fruit, the taste is fruity & sweetish with fresh bread & candy sugar , the finish is more of the same with a growing dryness & some nice hop bitterness ,light bodied & drinkable the alcohol while evident is not overly obvious , this beer is very well made & nicely balanced.

Hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of pineapple, bubblegum, spices and alcohol. Sweet spicy and fruity flavour. For such a strong, sweet and yeasty beer, it’s actually quite refreshing and easy drinking.

Bottle, poured into a chimay glass. Thick foamy white head , slightly hazy golden orange colour. Nice Belgian yeast aroma, this has a light fruity flavour, with a spice finish.

Approximately 9 or 10 oz. from a 25.4 oz. bottle, consumed on 3-31-16. 2014 edition. Refreshing, wheaten, yeasty, boozy, and a touch “beery” aroma features scents of bubblegum, caramel, and golden raisin. Pours a hazy, bright gold with a medium amount of cream-colored to ecru head. Butterscotch or almost orange appearance. Looks good. Yeasty, bread-like, wheaten taste features flavors of apricot, cinnamon, and apple. Freshly baked bread or bread dough. Wheaten aftertaste. Medium to full body. Fizzy and frothy in the palate. Refreshing and easy to drink, especially for the ABV. Well-made overall. I forgot to assign scores when I took my notes, so these scores I added from memory several days later.

bottle. Poured clear gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma of spicy yeast and banana peel. Medium-full bodied, tight carbonated mouthfeel with a dry tart finish. Flavour of crystal malts, more spicy notes, clove and yeast with bitter citrus.
