The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Clear amber color, not much of a head that dissipated quickly. Sweet smell. Spicy taste with a definite alcohol flavor at end with warmth. Didn't like it too well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Head is huge, average, frothy, white and diminihes slowly. Body is clear yellow and sparkling. Aroma contains dar bread, hay, herbs, orange, lemon, grape, pineapple, cherry, and forest fruits. Flavor: no notes. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Nice beer. Fruity and fresh with a light bitter bite at the finish. Don’t drink too many or it will show you why it gots its name.

On tap at Delirium, july 29. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malty, biscuit, spices, citrus. Taste is medium sweet with malt and grains, light floral bitterness. Finish is light spicy bitter with slight alcohol notes. Smooth, medium bodied.

From bottle. Pours yellow with a white head. Little lacing. Aroma of lemon and yeast. Taste has some sour characteristics, but it isn’t really sour. Lemon and fruit, some spice. Alcohol well-hidden. This is the third time I’ve had it. It’s interesting, but not my beer.

I get the typical belgian sweetness with the belgian yeast from this crystal clear yellow brew with a head of big white bubbles and seeming gread carb as i watch the bubbles rise. I get a almost crisp sweetness grainy and sweet malty flavor from this medium bodied brew. I have a slight alcohol burn on the back of my tongue after the aftertaste. Good beer for the style.

Have had many times but not recently (read 2 years) but never rated. Now having August 2014 at Eulogy in Philly in both the bottle and on draft to compare and contrast. The draft pour pulled somewhat cloudy while the bottle was a clear gold pour. Huge white top to both, though the bottle pour was frothier and left lots of lace. The draft head was fizzier and left little lace. Carbonation was much higher in the draft (but that is likely a component of the CO2 mix of the venue). Similar citrus, floral and toasted wheat flavors to both. Bottle pour feels thicker, juicier and more fragrant. Wildflower honey. Draft pour is sharper, tarter and harsher. Less refined but with brighter and more vibrant spikes. Both have notes of lemon zest, yellow plums, violets and buttered croissants. The draft reads with more tangerine peels. Bottle pour grows to much softer notes of Challah and Chanterelles. Herbal tea and potpourri element to both but the drafts sourness overpowers it. The bottle pour has a fullness that brings more complicated flavors into the mix. Over time - the draft remains sharper but less refined. The bottle warms to some deeper floral flavors. By the end the draft maintained a refreshishing sour bite while the draft meandered to a nice complex sweetness. Both are obviously good, for different reasons, but in balance the bottle wins out.

Now this was interesting. Very strong lemon aroma. Starts like a witbier, finishes like a tripel. The curious mix of flavours makes it diifferent from most Belgian beers - well worth trying.

330ml bottle. Aroma is light muscat, star anise, grass. Appearance is pale yellow with a huge white head. Taste is sour, light bitter. A long lasting, light dry palate. A superb beer.

(Delirium Tremens) Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 8.5% Crystal clear body, deep orange golden in colour, with a tall white head, thick, with very good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma is lightly malty, with sugar and some yeast, very faint vanilla. Taste follows, yeast, sugar, some fruity notes, light alcohol. Nicely bitter aftertaste, with long enough duration. High carbonation, medium thin on the body. Decent belgian ale.

Color dorado limpio, espuma blanca ligera y jabonosa. Aromas de fruta verde, levadura y ligero alcohol. Cuerpo medio, carbonatacion generosa, inicio afrutado y dulce, con gran presencia de burbuja y final de levadura ligeramente seco y amargor suave, con presencia de alcohol. Bien.
