2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale Belgian Ale. 8.5%
Beer Trials Recommendation.
Pale mustard color ("straw"),
Light body, full but subtly flavored, highly carbonated which one would expect by the champagne cork and the billowing head, one that has much persistence. Low-medium bitterness, delicate malt, sourish, not much character.
Not wort h the hype.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Auchan, Luxembourg. Pours clear golden with a huge white head that is however not very stable. Nose is complex: vanilla, chocolate, lemon, honey; malty and sweet, Taste is more of the same, plus very dry and the alcohol does not try to hide, on the contrary. The beer feels mouth-warming and creamy, with just the right amount of cabonation. The warmth stays with you long after the sip. Unfortunately, there is a slight metallic aftertaste. Looking forward to my next one, glad that I bought a 4-pack!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale golden with huge carbonation. Rocky white head.
Aroma is iron, corn flakes, dry lemon, peppermint.
Powerful, starting a little sweet, then metallic. Perhaps too aggressive, due to high CO2.

Hazy beer with an easy head, tastes quite sweet, but bearable. Lively carbonation with an OK palate sensation. I liked it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A hazy golden color and a big white head. The aroma features pale maltiness and yeasty spiciness with a solid Belgian farmyard element, very fruity. Taste is light sweet at first but later sourness and bitterness rise. Fruity, earthy flavours create a strong, rich mix. The palate is full bodied, slightly sticky with low to average carbonation. One of the classic strong Belgian ales.
