The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Unique and delicious. Relatively light body for the amount of complex yeast flavor and light fruit or dryness that accompanies it. Yellowish brew that is a nice Belgian for sure.

Cerveza de color dorado pŠlido con una cabeza blanca. Aroma a fruta, malta y a levadura. Sabor dulce a malta con mucho cuerpo, se nota bastante las levaduras, tiene un final un poco amargo. Buena cerveza.

One of the old classics. Among the first Belgian beers I encountered. Iconic bottle, glass, and branding - hard to forget. I guess it took me about 6 years to rate it. No surprises as this is a textbook example - maybe the gold standard for Belgian strong golden. From 330ml bottle into pink elephant stem. Perfect translucent gold with a bright white head that sticks. Great nucleation column. Aroma is classic, clean Belgium - flavor to match. After you try a bunch of new beers, some good, some bad, itís great to return to the comfort of a classic.

Poured from 330mL bottle [bb 08/2017]. Clear golden yellow with white head. Sweet yeasty aroma and taste. Not much more than that.

Just opened up a April 2013 bottle last night, and I must say it was pretty damn delicious. Poured smoothly with a nice thick head, but with light aromas of spices & yeast. Very strong yeasty, citrus-like taste to it, but overall I definitely recommend this beer.

Pours hazy gold with big white head. Big aromas, almost like cheddar, spicy, slight hoppy citrus bit. Smooth palate, smooth high carbonation. Sweet to start, then finishes drier with clean hoppiness.

On tap. Light golden color, clear, fluffy white head. Aroma mild pale malts with belgian yeast and noticeable alcohol. Taste is sweetish with a fair hops bitterness, medium body, average carbonation. Seems a concentrated oktoberfest bier, qute malty, slightly biting and alcoholic. Didnít impress, but solid belgian ale.
