COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pours light golden with a little haze and a big head. Aroma big bread. Flavor bright and evenly balanced by an active effervescence. Flavor mellows nicely into a vaguely sweet aftertaste.

Molto buona, molto piacevole..

Bomber from Costco (almost 1 year ago) poured into a tulip while swimming in my 93 degree pool on a cold September night. Pours cloudy with tiny floating chunks and a big white head (chunks due to the age?). Light, grassy, sweet smell. Tastes of wheat, grass, yeast, fruit and honey - very nice and light like a lager. Medium, thin, fizzy body. This is one of the top "Belgiums" fo sho. Didn’t taste the alcohol at all, very refreshing for an 8.5%. Wish I could afford to drink this all summer long...

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2014 Bottle. Pours clear golden with big foamy head. Aroma is Belgian yeast! Spices and sweet fruits, maybe apricot. Taste is sweet and big highcarbonated body and some wheat and boozyness. Low bitterness and really spicy yeasty character

Was introduced to this golden ale by a close friend. First taste changed my mind about how much I thought I could enjoy beer. Overall, very tasty, great aroma, and packs a real alcohol punch but does not have such a strong alcohol flavor. Very well balanced.

This is a yeast flavor bomb! 11.2 oz or 330 ml.bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a nice white head, no lacing. Attractive ceramic looking bottle with light blue foil, I think they charge more for the packaging. Aroma of sweet malt, nutty Belgian yeast, apricot, plum, honey, and coriander. Taste is med. sweet, light sour, and med. bitter. Palate is full bodied, creamy and smooth texture, average carb., clean and refreshing finish, malty, fruity, and spicy. One of the best beers out there.

Good aroma of fruits, apricot, Belgian yest. A bit too carbonated at first, then gets better, quite an aggressive taste at the beginning, alcoholic. Gets more drinkable with every sip
