COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle Conditioned.
Launched on December 26th 1989 @ 9% abv. Abv reduced from 9% to 8.5% in 2003.
The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

A: Pours golden/amber crystal clear beer with a huge capuccino-like white head! Quite a treat to see. Lots of lacing and a lot of particles floating around. S: Fruity esters, banana and honey. Some floral notes. T: Esters at the front again with a distinct note of apple. Grassy, citrusy, honey-sweet. Wet hops dry toward the end of the sip, coupled by warming booze and a hint of pepper. M: Medium-to-light bodied, pretty refreshing. O - An excellent beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a yeast flavor bomb! 11.2 oz or 330 ml.bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a nice white head, no lacing. Attractive ceramic looking bottle with light blue foil, I think they charge more for the packaging. Aroma of sweet malt, nutty Belgian yeast, apricot, plum, honey, and coriander. Taste is med. sweet, light sour, and med. bitter. Palate is full bodied, creamy and smooth texture, average carb., clean and refreshing finish, malty, fruity, and spicy. One of the best beers out there.

Good aroma of fruits, apricot, Belgian yest. A bit too carbonated at first, then gets better, quite an aggressive taste at the beginning, alcoholic. Gets more drinkable with every sip

Strong smell of herbs or spices. Nice belgian style basic feeling with the strongest herb and spice taste I’ve had in a beer. I liked it but would not drink everyday, a bit of a speciality in my books.

When I come to the bar and see that they have Delirium Tremens it means that the bar is not that bad :) It’s softer than it’s dark brother and therefore is more suitable for a quick beer after work.
