The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Wow, this beer is wonderfull, multi yaesty flavors, even fruity by sides, the appearance is formidable, doesn’t look 9% of alchool, it’s like a cameleon beer and not a rose elephant beer, taste slowly, you will discovered his multiple tastes.. one of the bests

Pours a light straw color. Thick white head that dissipates rapidly and leaves no lacing behind. On the nose some lemon and green apple with a grassy undertone. On the palate a dry mix of citrus bitterness and malt. More of that green apple on the swallow. Neither sweet nor bitter, this one.

Very special beer, it is supposed to be strong but is very friendly beer. Fruity, some citrus in aroma and flavor, has a little bit of sourness, and the hops are well balanced. Some spiciness too, but subtle.

AROMA of hops, bitter hops and aroma, yeast also, with really interesting fruity notes, i would say banana. APPEARANCE is a sweet clear golden yellow but the foam didn’t stayed long.TASTE has some acid and fruity hops together with fresh bitterness. reeaaaaly sweet. (and also sweet) PALATE : perfect cargo (although the inexistend head) and medium sweet finsh of hops with a hint of bitterness. OVERALL I remember I didn’t liked that kind of beer back in the days (like 18^^) but now I love it. Nice bitter/hoppy beer with delicate notes of yeasts and sweetness from the malts. Balance is the way. POURED from a 33cl from fridge in teku glass.

On tap at The Head of Steam, Durham. Beautifully distinct, slightly caramel-esque aroma. Hazy straw-coloured appearance . An extremely complex and involving taste (I wish I could dissect it!).

Bottle. Pours with a light yellow colour, medium frothy white head. Aroma is medium malty with notes of caramel and fruit, light hoppy and light yeasty. Additional notes of honey. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter, light salty, light to medium sour. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation.

Malt and yeast. What a beer should be but nothing more in terms of palate or complexity. Long finish with hops dominating saves the day.

Good belgian with nice yeast flavor and a hint of sweetness in the malt. Stylish finish that lasts.
