3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
When I saw the name Delirium Tremens on a tap handle, it reminded me of what I had read in a few beer books, and how it was "some" authors number one beer.
Well when the lovely bartender poured me this beer I had much antisipated, buy the look of the orangish brown Beligian-Style beer emiting from the tap I looked not to be disapointed.
Then she delivered this treat to me, and at my first smell of this beer my senses highten as I readied myself to tasted the best beer of my life.........
BUT, I was suddenly dissapointed by the taste, not that this it was a bad taste but I had antisipated greatness and this was not greatness. It was very good, it had a great taste that masked the high ABV. But it was NOT the best beer "I" had ever had not even close. This makes me realize that I need to look more into what I read and who it is written by.

Poured out of a 22 oz bottle. A straw colored pour, very effervescent. A cleaner taste than I'm used to for a Belgian. Almost like a champagne of Belgian beers in style. Lighter and carbonated. A fun beer but not the best in the world

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear gold with a medium white head...light soapy lacing. Aroma has light yeasty spice and leather...subtle clove. Flavor hides tropical fruit beneath earthy bitterness and leather...slightly clovey and peppery. Mouthfeel is medium and very lively with a dry leathery/earthy/rindy finish that warms as it lingers.

Robe blonde or, belle mousse. Nez houblonné, épicé, fruité, banane, gingembre, citron vert. Bouche à l’attaque fraîche, citronnée, bel extrait sec, de la tension et une finale sèche. Un bière tendue, fraîche, mais qui ne me transcende pas.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20

Wonderful to look at...light cloudy golden in color with soft white foamy head. Nice light fruity biscuity aroma and flavor. Terrific yet Belgian yeasty notes. Definitely a favorite.

750ml bottle best before November 2015. Peachy golden with two finger quickly vanishing lively white head. Aroma of sweet fruits and some growing malts. Sweet fruity flavor with some typical Belgian heast to it. OK palate and rather good with moulles marinér.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2015 Served in a trappist glass. Beautiful! Golden with a big white head. Aroma is fruity (peaches, apricot, raspberry, mango), funky yeasty, honey, buscuit and mollasses... Awesome! Taste is also fruity, reminds me pears, apples, bananas and peaches, heavy yeasty flavour. No alcohol presence. Bitter, yeasty and kinda sour aftertaste. Warming and spicy mouthfeel. Great strong ale!
