jjuf1853 (175), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 23, 2008 Bottle pours a cloudy honey lemon color with a large white head that dissapates some around the edges, but leaves a large island of foam in the middle. A view from the side of the glass displays a miniature stream of bubbles originating from the bottom of the trappist glass and raising up to the surface which seems to constantly replenish the foam head. Aroma is predominantly yeast and fresh citrus. Similar flavor but additional hints of malt as well. Very lively mouthfeel with tons of tiny carbonation. Flavorful, slightly dry aftertaste that lingers. I think the 8.5% is well hidden.
twitcher (110), framingham, Massachusetts, USA Jul 15, 2008 bottle. Pours a bright clear yellow, big fizzy head that stays very well. Aromas of sugary sweetness and some light clove and citrus notes. Flavor is much sharper and bittersweet, some yeast and grain flavors. Very sharp and carbonated on the palate, giving it a very champagne-like character. Very unique. VitaminR (239), USA Jul 15, 2008 Huge spicy and clovey nose. Hazy orange with a large frothy head. Sweet toast ,some mild funkiness and medium bitterness. Huge carbonation, lightish body, long smooth finish. Excellent spicy complex beer. AndyReynolds (12), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Jul 14, 2008 Light tan beer with a thick white head. Sweet aroma with a hoppy fragerence to it. Went down pretty smooth with a bitter bite. Had fruity, citrus taste. Lt_Col_Catsup (6), New York, New York, USA does not count Jul 13, 2008 A great overall beer. Light color with medium to high carbonation. Drinks like a soda almost with the taste of licorice and a high alcohol content Yves (276), Beerse, Belgium Jul 13, 2008 Light blond coloured beer with small white head, medium carbonation.
