3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours golden with large, fluffy white head. Quite yeasty on the nose, but also has a fruity aroma with a subtle vanilla sweetness. Beautiful clean and crisp flavours. Smooth malt base with powerful citrus, grape/raisin, spice and caramel flavours. The sweet and bitter flavours are beautifully balanced, and the caramel, almost toffee-like sweetness comes through more as the beer warms. The high alcohol is masked well for a beautiful, unique-tasting beer. Yum.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Backlog - A unique Belgian beer with a very complex fruity taste. Its like the lovechild of red sweets, Belgian spicy yeast and citrus.

750ml bottle dec 2013. Lets be honest, this beer is famous for a reason. It's good, strong sour Belgian ale. Missed it.

Botella 33cl. Simplemente genial. Una belga con triple fermentación que no te machaca al beberla y tiene un sabor suave y delicado.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I do get an aroma from this light gold bubbly beer that looks like champagne. It’s yeasty, full of overripe fruits found in a cellar. There’s plenty of moscato grapes and spices, especially cinnamon and cloves. The flavour follows the same trend, with bananas and vanilla thrown in the mix. Long lasting finish, with a certain sweet bitterness that lingers on. The alcohol is never noticed until one stands up and tries to do Badger’s Riversdance. Really nice. The label says it is a tripel, so it would definitely defy my dislike for the style.

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
With almost no smell, and a taste any feel of something coming out of budwiesser. The only saving grace is the making of the alcohol leaving one to not notice the kick out has giving you a surprise when you are finished.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Quite unique flavor on this strong Belgian blond. It is yeast and malts in a way you do not get with any other. It must be the three types of yeast. A little sweet with a dry crisp finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very clear light yellow body with nice white head, but disappears quickly. Aroma is not so intense, but complex. Mainly yeasty, malty, but I would say similar to some Belgian wit beers. Tastes bready, some chestnuts and maybe some wooden. Definitely dry. Taste doesn’t stay long. It’s not my style, but I appreciate this beer.
