The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pale yellow appearance with small white head. Fruity aroma. Sweet start with peaches leading to butterscotch and cherries with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Light mouthfeel. Decent.

Golden yellow. Fluffy white head. Lacing all over the glass. This smells as good as any beer I’ve ever had. Layers of herbs and seeds with unusual scents such as Thai basil. Refreshing meyer lemon and yeasty notes on the palate. High carbonation. Complex finish.

Bottle : pours golden amber with a thin white head, fruity aroma and taste. Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to rate this.

Cloudy light gold with lots of white particles. Head is long-lasting white and there is some lace. The first taste is magnificent - full yeasty wheaty caramel malt that blossoms in the mouth. Then, as it moves across the palate, light spices and fresh cut grass keep the taste full. The finish doesn’t measure up: there is a sourness at the end that ruins the balance of an otherwise remarkable brew. I’m wondering if my bottle is maybe a little off.

Great beer, love the carbonation this beer always has. Cant beat the bottling and presentation and is always a joy to have.

Pours gold, with a tight soupy white head. Tons of carbonation streaming up in this one, with gross hunks of shit floating around. Looks like a dirty fish tank. Smell is apple sauce, light citrus, some lemon grass, canned pears, and the lightest of hint of banana. Taste is quite sweet, fermented fruitiness, Del Monte fruit cup syrup, mild apricot, more apple sauce, little lemon, some biscuit sweetness, light clove, little bit of alcohol depth, nice warmth in the throat. Mouth feel is thin-medium, quite lively carb, but since it’s not as thin as champagne, it doesn’t come off as such. Finish is light clove, bit of alcohol astringency and over ripened apple. Not my favourite style, but not a chore to get through.

Smells like citrus and sweet spices. Has a golden appearance. Lingers on the tongue with a slight tangy feeling. Tastes delicious.
