rkuhnel (1064), Eureka, California, USA Jul 4, 2006 Bottele. Asked in Wittenburg if they had anything unusual and they pulled out this. I had a little trouble understanding them but got the impression this was the only bottle of this one they had Poured red with nice tan head. Attractive. Good nose. Strong beer. Lots of fruit and spices This was a real find. One of the better German beers. Mads Langtved (2246), København K, Denmark Aug 27, 2005 Bottled, gift from the agressive brewer who you, when you come to Neuendorf, have to listen dutifully to. Reddish appearance, no head. Thick and sligtly sticky flavour. Strong alcoholic and malty finish. This is a mightly doppelbock. Serve it with fear and anxiety. Dixen (1465), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 25, 2005 Lovely nose, sweet and malty, with notes of chocolate, coffee and a touch of alcohol. Vary dark brown body, with a beautiful red tint, on top a small off-white head. Very nice maltprofile in the flavor, lots of prunes and caramel, ends a bit dry with a pleasant alcohol burn. Very good doppelbock and a fantastic gift from the most angry brewer in the world. Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Jul 24, 2005 Bottled. Gift from the brewer. Deep dark brown coloured. Malty and sweet with fruity notes and notes of caramel. Well balanced and full bodied. A great Doppelbock.
