French: Une blonde.
English: A blonde. But true! The Astroblonde, our main beer, Pils is a true family of the "German Pils. Unlike the Czech Pils type that is more malty and darker in color, the German is more refined and usually cooler and more hoppy. With our Astroblonde-Pils, we want to reintroduce a style of beer in Paris who almost yn’existe (we mean "real" Pils), but that was very popular here in the years 1900 to 1920. Bitter, but not too much, we have adapted to the Parisian taste. Therefore, we use a high rate of specialty malts that balance perfectly the different hops bitterness.

Pours a clear golden body with a thin head. Faint funky aroma. Flat and uninsteresting taste.

33cl bottle. Poured pale golden, thick, but quickly disappearing white head. Aroma mostly sweet malt and corn. very bulky stuff. Nut much more in the flavor, sweet malt, corn and hint of honey. Why did I waste my money on this beer...

A golden beer with a medium and white head. The nose has malts, sweetness of honey, some grassy hops. Taste has light malts, quite sweet due to weak bitterness. Almost medium bodied, smooth maltyness, slightly harsh carbonation. More hops would be needed, otherwise there are no mistakes.

Bottle 330ml (K-Kamppi)
Clear golden color, small steady white head. Grainy, a bit fruity and rubbery aroma. Light-bodied. Spicey Saaz-hoppyness, sweetish maltyness, slightly grainy and even a bit buttery. Quite Czechish pils. Crisp and quite nice, especially for being French.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty - grainy and sweetish aroma, light herbal - vegetable hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish, light cardboard and herbal - vegetable hoppyness with light metal. I do not get what makes this "pils". Not so enjoyable.

Not a lot of things went well with this. A metallic taste through it all, under a somewhat sickly sweetness. Wishy washy is the best description. Shame, as the design was lovely.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%, 27 IBU. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma with grassy notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. Grainy flavour, quite dry, with noticeable bittering hops and a slightly metallic finish. Not my kind of beer. Isn’t this supposed to be some kind of craft brew? I’d rather have a Kronenbourg 1664!
