COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
French: Une blonde.
English: A blonde. But true! The Astroblonde, our main beer, Pils is a true family of the "German Pils. Unlike the Czech Pils type that is more malty and darker in color, the German is more refined and usually cooler and more hoppy. With our Astroblonde-Pils, we want to reintroduce a style of beer in Paris who almost yn’existe (we mean "real" Pils), but that was very popular here in the years 1900 to 1920. Bitter, but not too much, we have adapted to the Parisian taste. Therefore, we use a high rate of specialty malts that balance perfectly the different hops bitterness.

Not a lot of things went well with this. A metallic taste through it all, under a somewhat sickly sweetness. Wishy washy is the best description. Shame, as the design was lovely.

Sigmund (5010) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2014
330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%, 27 IBU. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma with grassy notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. Grainy flavour, quite dry, with noticeable bittering hops and a slightly metallic finish. Not my kind of beer. Isn’t this supposed to be some kind of craft brew? I’d rather have a Kronenbourg 1664!

Flaske 0,33l fra Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. Drukket i heimen 6 Jun 13. Strågul. Middels høyt luftig skum. Grei lacing. Aroma av gress. Smaken har preg av malt med tilløp til metall. Avslutter litt søtt.

A blonde pilsner with a thin white head. In aroma, classic smooth biscuit malt with grassy German hops, mineral notes, not bad. In mouth, a sweet fruity biscuit malt with light mineral notes, faint hops, OK. On tap at Demory Pub.

33cl bottle. Pale yellow colour with a very small white head and very little carbonation. Aroma is crisp with notes of grain, grass and malts. Almost no hoppy notes. Flavour is thin and watery. Mostly grain and barley. Some grass. No hops. A boring pale lager.

Palme (3284) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 2, 2013
0.33l bottle. A crystal clear golden one with a medium sized not bad looking and lacing white top. The nose is floral and I get some wheat grainy, pilsner-ish thing with a tone of sweet honey and thin caramel. Not bad, not to exciting. It has a mild oily mouthfeel, perhaps a bit thin and the carbonation level is just below average. Again light sweet honey infused flavors with grainy and slightly metallic tones. Not ill, bad or gruesome but won’t be purchasing this again. 12.07.2013

330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma is light grainy. Flavor is sweet and grainy with little bitterness. Medium body and short aftertaste. Drinkable but no really big deal.
