3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - OCT 3, 2011
22 oz. bottle from Hayduke with whom it was shared via facebook chat. My bottle was a gusher with a huge light tan foam that slowly faded. Sticky lacing. The nose was nice malt and soft hops. The flavor included soft fruit, malt, and earth. Near the finish some cocoa and spice was tasted. It was borderline Oktoberfest with the subtleness and spice. This was an enjoyable beer that one could spend some time with. It would be great while watching a game or shooting the bull. The sum is greater than the parts.
